Hampden-Sydney Wins ODAC Football Play of the Week Fan Poll

FOREST, Va. --- Hampden-Sydney's victory over Guilford featured a swampy, muddy playing field.  Now it also includes the winning play in the ODAC Play of the Week fan poll with Mike DeMasi's run to  setup a score in the Tigers' first win of the season claiming H-SC's first triumph in the poll this year.

In easily the most adverse playing conditions of all the rainy games on Saturday, Hampden-Sydney running back Mike DeMasi used both power and quickness to setup a Tigers' score. After bursting thru the H-SC line, DeMasi shrugged off one tackler and eluded four others before being dragged down at the Guilford 2-yard line following a 47-yard jaunt thru the mud. H-SC scored on the next play, giving the Tigers their first lead of the game at 13-6 with 13:45 showing on the second quarter clock.

This week's three nominees resulted in over 1,200 interactions on YouTube and the ODAC website.  DeMasi's run against Guilford received 53.19-percent of the vote from ODAC football fans.
