Ikwild, a senior from Philomont, Va., played a major part in the
Tigers 28-26 victory over Randolph-Macon in the 119th edition of
"The Game." Ikwild made 17 total tackles on the day,
including six solo stops. His biggest tackle proved to be his
last. After the Yellow Jackets scored a touchdown with 1:35
to play, H-SC led 28-26. R-MC had two shots at a two-point
conversion thanks to a Tigers facemask penalty. Ikwild came
up big on the second attempt, standing up R-MC back Will McGhee
short of the goal line to preserve H-SC's lead. The win
secured the ODAC title for the Tigers and a berth in the NCAA
Tournament. Ikwild currently sits fourth in the league with
89 total tackles. His 48 solo stops are sixth in the
conference.
