It took just 67-seconds of extra-time to break a 60-minute stalemate as nationally 16th-ranked Washington and Lee University hoisted the ODAC field hockey trophy with a 1-0 overtime triumph over 19th-ranked University of Lynchburg in the conference championship game on Saturday afternoon in Lexington.

The Shenandoah University field hockey team has earned its first-ever ODAC championship with a 2-0 win over Washington and Lee Saturday night. Shenandoah (13-8) earns the league's automatic bid into the 24-team NCAA Tournament field with the win. The NCAA will announce the tournament field Sunday and first round games are scheduled for Wednesday.

It is the Hornets fifth-straight ODAC crown and the 14th in program history.
