ODAC Football Play of the Week: Week 10

Who will be the winner of this week's ODAC Football Play of the Week?  It's all up to you!

Each week, our member schools submit plays to the conference office for your consideration for the ODAC Play of the Week.  Watch each of the entries below and then vote for the play that you think is the best of the week in the poll at the bottom of the page.  Each week's winner will be announced on Wednesday afternoons.  The winners will be eligible for the ODAC Football Play of the Year at the end of the season!

PLAY 1: BRIDGEWATER AT RANDOLPH-MACON   PLAY 2: CATHOLIC VS. WASHINGTON AND LEE
Description: After Randolph-Macon broke a scoreless deadlock in the second quarter, Bridgewater needed just two plays to knot the game up at seven points each. Ross Rushing delivered a 34-yard touchdown pass to Jayme Perry on a post pattern and Perry held on to the ball for the catch to tie the game in the second stanza. The Eagles would later go on to claim a 28-25 victory over the Yellow Jackets.   Description: In a game that featured seven lead changes, Catholic trailed Washington and Lee, 36-33, with 1:31 to go.  The Cardinals needed just 1:00 to go 61 yards in six plays, capped off by a five-yard touchdown run by quarterback TJ Tutone with 0:25 on the clock to give CUA its first ODAC win of the season.
 

 
PLAY 3: EMORY & HENRY VS. SHENANDOAH   PLAY 4: GUILFORD AT HAMPDEN-SYDNEY
Description: Early in the second quarter, Emory & Henry intercepted one of six passes on the day on a broken play.  Roth Healey stepped in front to pick off the pass.  He returned it 39 yards to the one-foot line.  E&H punched it in two plays later for a 28-0 lead. Healey intercepted three passes on the day and recovered a fumble.   Description: Trailing Hampden-Sydney, 28-21, with less than two minutes left in regulation, Matt Pawlowski moved the Quakers into the red zone before finding Austen Thompson for an 18-yard touchdown pass. The ensuing extra point tied the game for the first time since the second quarter. The play marked Thompson's lone catch of the day.  H-SC would go on to win in overtime, 35-28.

 
     
PLAY 5: HAMPDEN-SYDNEY VS. GUILFORD   PLAY 6: RANDOLPH-MACON VS. BRIDGEWATER
Description: After Guilford scored on a 67-yard pass play to cut Hampden-Sydney's lead to 21-18 early in the fourth quarter, the Tigers nearly gave the ball right back to GC.  On a 3rd and 11, Nash Nance turned good Quakers' coverage into a scrambling first down in which he fought thru several tackles.  H-SC scored a touchdown seven plays later to open up a 10-point advantage.   Description: After Bridgewater went ahead 28-17 with 2:41 to play, Randolph-Macon needed just one play to bring the Yellow Jackets to within three points. Quarterback Zac Naccarato heaved a pass deep downfield. Mike Doe reached back to haul it in and turn it into a 62-yard touchdown pass.  That made the score 28-25, which proved to be the game's final score.
 

 
PLAY 7: SHENANDOAH AT EMORY & HENRY   PLAY 8: WASHINGTON AND LEE AT CATHOLIC
Description: Trailing 35-7 with 7:35 on the third quarter clock, Shenandoah running back Cedrick Delaney scored the first of his three rushing touchdowns to jumpstart a 24-7 scoring run. Delaney, who ran for an ODAC record 321-yards, burst up the middle, broke a stand-up tackle at the five-yard line, and barreled his way into the end zone for an 18-yard score.  Emory & Henry would go on to win, 42-34.   Description: In the game that feature seven lead changes, Washington and Lee needed a big run from Walker Brand to retake the lead, 21-20.  From his own 41-yard line, Brand ran right and came back to left, making several cuts before being tackled at the Catholic 16-yard line following a 43-yard run. On the next play, Marshall Hollerith would run in for a touchdown.  CUA went on to win, 40-36.
