PLAY 1: BRIDGEWATER VS. NEWPORT NEWS APPRENTICE

PLAY 2: GUILFORD VS. AVERETT

Description: Leading 20-7 midway thru the third quarter, Bridgewater put the game out of reach with a one-play scoring drive that was setup by a 46-yard punt return by Jeffrey Moore.  Moore weaved his way thru the middle of the punt coverage unit and eluded some of his own teammates before being dragged down at the six-yard line. That lead immediately to a six-yard TD run by Anthony Lovelace.   Description: The Quakers were moving in for their fifth touchdown of the day thanks to an efficient, 99-yard drive that started on their own one after a big defensive stand. Matt Pawlowski underthrew a pass towards receiver Daniel Woodruff near the goal line with less than a minute before halftime, but Woodruff could only tip it. Defender Jamal Forney also batted at the ball, which gave Adam Smith the chance to swoop in and unexpectedly snare his career-high-tying third receiving score of the game. The improbable catch set Guilford's career mark for all-time receiving touchdowns (35).

PLAY 3: HAMPDEN-SYDNEY AT FERRUM

PLAY 4: SHENANDOAH AT N.C. WESLEYAN

Description: Hampden-Sydney freshman running back Kyree Koonce put together several big plays to help the Tigers to victory over Ferrum, including this 23-yard touchdown run late in the second quarter.  Koonce took the handoff and sifted thru the center of the line, but instead of going down, he eluded one would-be tackler and spun off another, finishing the 23-yard play with his second rushing touchdown of the day and a 34-10 lead for H-SC. Koonce would later add a third touchdown receiving.
Description: With the scored tied 17-all at the outset of the fourth quarter, Shenandoah was faced with a 4th-and-11 situation from it's own 40-yard line.  The Hornets pulled off an inch-perfect fake punt as punter Travis Barton floated a pass to defensive back Josh White, who was able to maintain possession in-bounds.  That play continued what would become the game-winning drive, which was finished off by a touchdown run from Cedrick Delaney for a 24-17 lead.
