    The University of Lynchburg field hockey team's season came to a close Saturday in the second round of the NCAA Division III tournament with a 1-0 loss at third-ranked Rowan.

    The University of Lynchburg scored three times in the second half to erase a 1-0 halftime deficit and post a 3-1 victory over Denison University in the first round of the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Tournament.
  • Lynchburg Headlines All-ODAC Field Hockey Awards

    ODAC champion University of Lynchburg earned a league-high six all-conference honors plus two special individual awards to lead the 2018 All-ODAC Field Hockey Awards. For the second time in her career, Nikki Simpao earned ODAC Player of the Year honors while Lynchburg mentor Enza Steele took home ODAC Coach of the Year Laurels. Shenandoah University collected the remaining special individual awards. Midfielder Kelsey Jones received ODAC Rookie of the Year accolades, while defender Morgan Payne was named the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete in a vote of the league's sports information directors.

    The University of Lynchburg returned to the top of the ODAC field hockey ladder this past weekend, claiming the program's first title since 2014 and earning a spot in the NCAA Division III Tournament. The 19-time conference champions learned of their placement in the field on Sunday evening.

    Top-seeded University of Lynchburg scored early and often on Saturday evening as five of Lynchburg's seven goals came in the opening 31-plus minutes on the way to a 7-2 victory over second-seeded Shenandoah University in the ODAC Field Hockey Tournament championship game.

    The University of Lynchburg sprinted unscathed thru the ODAC regular season, winning each league game by at least two goals on the way to an 8-0 record and the top seed in the upcoming ODAC Field Hockey Tournament. The Hornets, who have won nine straight contests, last earned top-billing in 2016.

  • Generals Top ODAC Field Hockey Preseason Poll

    A familiar team sits atop the 2018 ODAC Field Hockey Preseason Poll as Washington and Lee University tops the chart produced by the league's head coaches for a third straight season. The Generals collected 62 total points including six first place votes. The University of Lynchburg sits second with 55 tallies and a pair of top nods, while Roanoke College rounds out the upper trio with 51 markers and the remaining first place consideration.

    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the 2017-18 ODAC Sportsmanship Teams in each of the conference's 24 sponsored sports. The squads are comprised of a student-athlete selected by the coaching staffs of each team competing under the conference banner with all sports and schools fully represented.
