  • ODAC Winter and Spring Sportsmanship Teams Announced

    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the 2014-15 ODAC Sportsmanship Teams in each of the 17 winter and spring sports sponsored by the conference. This marks the sixth year the league has recognized these fine student-athletes for their excellence in sportsmanship.
  • Hornets Runners-Up to Tufts After NCAA Men's Lacrosse Title Game Loss

    The Tufts University (MA) men's lacrosse team captured its second-straight NCAA Division III Title Sunday with a 19-11 victory over Lynchburg College in the championship game of the Division III Championship Tournament. The contest was held at Lincoln Financial Field, the home of the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles.
  • CHAMPIONSHIP BOUND! Hornets' Nine-Goal Run Leads to Semifinal Victory

    Trailing 9-2 midway through the third period, the fourth-ranked Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team scored nine-straight goals to post an improbable 11-9 victory at #2 Gettysburg College Saturday in an NCAA Division III Semifinal Tournament matchup. LC advances to its first NCAA title game in program history to face the winner of RIT/Tufts for the Division III crown.
  • Lynchburg Headed to National Semifinals with Win Over Salisbury

    The Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team advanced to the first Final Four in program history with a 13-11 victory over Salisbury University Wednesday evening in the quarterfinals of the 2015 NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. Junior midfielder Dane Angell scored a game-high four times for the Hornets.
  • Stewart Scores 100th Goal in LC's 19-8 Win Over Aurora

    Junior Austin Stewart scored eight times Saturday evening to lead the fourth-ranked Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team to a 19-8 victory over Aurora University (IL) in the second round of the 2015 NCAA Division III Tournament.
  • Lynchburg's Stewart Leads All-ODAC Men's Lacrosse Awards

    Lynchburg attack Austin Stewart earned ODAC Player of the Year honors from the league's head coaches to highlight the All-ODAC Men's Lacrosse awards. Virginia Wesleyan mentor J.P. Stewart picked up ODAC Coach of the Year accolades, while Roanoke long stick defender Conn Curry was tabbed the ODAC Rookie of the Year. Washington and Lee defender Colin Fraser received the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete Award.

    The fourth-ranked Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team used a six-goal surge Wednesday evening to post a 13-4 victory over Sewanee in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
  • Maroons Fall to Salisbury in NCAA Men's Lacrosse First Round

    The Roanoke College men's lacrosse team was tied with #8 Salisbury through the first quarter, but the Sea Gulls pulled away for the low-scoring 6-3 win in the NCAA Tournament First Round. The Maroons finish the season with a record of 12-7, while Salisbury advances to the Second Round to face Salisbury University.
  • Roanoke Joins Lynchburg in NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament

    Lynchburg College will be joined by Roanoke College representatives of the ODAC in the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament, as announced by the NCAA on www.ncaa.com Sunday evening. The Hornets will host a first round contest, while the Maroons will take to the road for their opening game.
  • Stewart's Eight Goals Lift Lynchburg to ODAC Men's Lacrosse Title

    Junior Austin Stewart broke the Lynchburg College single-season points record in the first quarter as the No. 4-ranked Hornets defeated Roanoke College 17-12 on Sunday afternoon to claim the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) men's lacrosse title. It is the first time in school history that the lacrosse team has won back-to-back conference titles.

  • ODAC Men's Lacrosse Pairings Set

    Lynchburg College (15-2 overall, 9-0 in the ODAC) secured the top seed of the men's lacrosse tournament after going undefeated during the regular season. The Hornets earn a quarterfinal bye and the privilege of hosting the semifinals and finals of the 2015 ODAC Men's Lacrosse Tournament on May 2-3.

  • Lynchburg Tops ODAC Men's Lacrosse Preseason Poll

    Reigning ODAC champion Lynchburg College opens the season as the top choice in the 2015 ODAC Men's Lacrosse Preseason Poll. The Hornets picked up eight first place votes on the way to 79 total points. Washington and Lee University sits second with 67 tallies and one top nod. Hampden-Sydney College and Roanoke College are tied for third with 65 points, but the Maroons secured the remaining first place vote.
