Rocky Mount, NC - The North Carolina Wesleyan baseball team won 5-1 against Roanoke College Saturday afternoon.
Danny Thompson pitched 7 innings of 1-hit baseball, which is a fantastic performance on the mound. Dylan Cheeley then came in for a 6-out save, which helped secure the victory for North Carolina Wesleyan.
On the offensive side, Davie Morgan hit a home run to right field in the first inning to set the tone early. Luke Chung also contributed 2 runs and an RBI to the affair. In the 9th inning with two runners on, Tyson Bass made an excellent defensive play, throwing out a runner at third base in the 9th inning near the warning track in right.
The Bishops face Roanoke once again tomorrow in a DH against Roanoke at 11 am.
