Pitching Shines in Big Home Win over #10 Randolph-Macon

Rocky Mount, N.C. - The North Carolina Wesleyan baseball team defeated nationally ranked Randolph-Macon College by a score of 4-2 on Thursday night. The pitching shined for the Bishops in the contest with Sophomore Dylan Cheeley getting the win by pitching a dominant six innings only allowing two hits and no earned runs against the Yellow Jackets. Junior Cullen Davis was able to record the save dominantly by tossing three innings of work and striking out all nine batters he faced. Davis accomplished this by holding a two-run lead in a very crucial win for the Bishops.

On the offensive side of the ball, Jean Legreca was able to get two of the four Bishop RBI's on a monster home run to left field. Most of the Wesleyan lineup was also able to record a hit leading to the first-ever win over a ranked opponent under the lights at Bauer Field.

The Battling Bishops improve to 17-5 on the season and will travel to Brevard this weekend for their third USA South conference series.
