ODAC Football Play of the Week Nominees - Week 1

  • ODAC Football Play of the Week - Week 1 | Bridgewater

Bridgewater went on the road and picked up a 34-17 victory at Gettysburg. The Eagles offense ripped off a pair of 52-yard touchdown plays, including this rush by Demetreus Jalepes where he kept his feet and darted half the field for a 27-10 lead with 3-seconds on the third quarter clock. Jalepes finished with a game-high 79 yards rushing on 12 carries.

  • ODAC Football Play of the Week - Week 1 | Emory & Henry

The annual Crooked Road Classic between Emory & Henry and Ferrum took on new meaning on Saturday with it representing the Panthers first ODAC contest. The Wasps earned a 45-29 road win with a trio of players notching two touchdowns each. Derrick Yates' second touchdown reception was a 34-yard over the shoulder effort with two defenders draping him near the goal line. He hauled it in for a 28-7 lead early in the third quarter. He finished with 105 yards and two scores on six catches.

  • ODAC Football Play of the Week - Week 1 | Ferrum

The annual Crooked Road Classic between Emory & Henry and Ferrum took on new meaning on Saturday with it representing the Panthers first ODAC contest. The Wasps earned a 45-29 road win, but the Panthers created plenty of excitement along the way. That included this elusive 59-yard touchdown run by quarterback Zack Clifford. Not only did it mark the first score of the game for Ferrum, but it stands as the first ODAC-era touchdown for the Panthers. Clifford added three passing touchdowns to his productive day.

  • ODAC Football Play of the Week - Week 1 | Shenandoah

Shenandoah had its fair share of big plays during its 48-33 victory at Methodist University. Few, however, are bigger than a 100-yard highlight. That's exactly what Nate Hill did as he rose to pick off an overthrown Monarch's pass at the SU goal line. He eluded a few defenders before sprinting 100 yards for a touchdown to give the Hornets a 48-20 lead with 9:21 on the fourth quarter clock. SU intercepted four passes on the day.
