ODAC Football Play of the Week Nominees - Week 3

  • ODAC Football Play of the Week - Week 03 | Guilford

Early in the third quarter, Guilford running back De’Eric Bell put together his longest run of the day to setup a Guilford touchdown. Bell took the hand-off from Alex Manley in shotgun formation, found a crease thru the center of the line and veered for the sideline. At the Davidson 25, he hurdled a would-be tackler and gained 24 more yards before being stopped at the 1-yard line. Manley found the end zone a play later for a 64-32 score with 10:35 on the third quarter clock. Bell finished with 187 yards and four touchdowns rushing. Guilford was on the short-side of a high-scoring affair, 91-61.

  • ODAC Football Play of the Week - Week 03 | Randolph-Macon

With just over 8:00 to go in the first quarter and the Yellow Jackets trailing Catholic, 6-0, Tre Frederick provided the home crowd with its first big play of the game. Frederick showed by patience and speed as he wanted to find his hole and then darted thru. He sprinted 42-yards to the 1-yard line, setting up Sean McDonald’s plunge to give R-MC a 7-6 lead early on. The Yellow Jackets would go on to win 41-6. Frederick finished with 127 yards on 17 carries.

  • ODAC Football Play of the Week - Week 03 | Shenandoah

Shenandoah and Hobart played hot-potato with the score all game long with five lead changes dotting the play-by-play. With 0:24 to go in the third quarter, the Hornets took a 48-42 lead thanks to some elusiveness and clutch catching. Quarterback Hayden Bauserman avoided the rush a couple times and bought some time for Austin Ward to come open near the back of the end zone. SU’s tight end kept his feet in bounds in the back-corner for his first collegiate touchdown and only grab of the game. Bauserman finished 46-of-64 for 471 and six TDs in the 56-48 setback.
