Eagles Claim Third Straight ODAC Football Play of the Week Fan Poll

FOREST, Va. --- Bridgewater continues to put up big plays from week-to-week and fans keep responding as the Eagles picked up their third straight win and fourth overall on tackle-breaking catch-and-run by Demetreus Jalepes against Randolph-Macon College.

Bridgewater got several big plays from its offense in its 44-41 overtime setback to Randolph-Macon, and none induced more excitement that Jalepes’ 38-yard screen pass touchdown to help the Eagles come all the way back from a 17-0 deficit. Jalepes grabbed the floated pass from Jay Scroggins and jumped thru one tackle attempt before running over a second person trying to make the stop. He eluded two more tacklers before diving over the goal line to knot the score at 17-all with 4:17 on the third quarter clock.

This week's eight nominees were voted on by more than 450 ODAC football fans and garnered more than 4,500 impressions, views, and interactions on the ODAC website, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. Jalepes' catch-and-run earned 35.2-percent of the vote.
