    Following an extensive search, Bridgewater College Director of Athletics Curt Kendall has announced the hiring of Jordon Robinson as the new head coach for the Eagles men’s and women’s tennis teams.
  • Washington and Lee Falls to Emory in NCAA Women's Tennis Third Round

    The 19th-ranked Washington and Lee women's tennis team saw its 2014 season come to an end with a 5-0 loss to Emory University in the third round on the NCAA Division III Tournament on Sunday afternoon at Emory. The Generals finish the season 18-3.
  • Generals Fly Past Sewanee in NCAA Women's Tennis Second Round

    The 19th-ranked Washington and Lee women's tennis team advanced to the third round of the 2014 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships after posting a 5-0 win over the 20th-ranked Sewanee on Saturday morning at the Woodruff Physical Education Center on the Emory University campus in Atlanta, Georgia.
  • Generals Headed to Emory for NCAA Women's Tennis Action

    Washington and Lee University will be the lone ODAC representative competing in the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Tournament as the 50 entrants were announced on www.ncaa.com on Monday. W&L will make the trip south for first-thru-third round play at Emory University. Regional action begins on Friday, May 9.

  • W&L's Meighan Wins Third Straight Women's Tennis Top Player Honor

    Washington and Lee University top singles player Sonja Meighan earned her third straight ODAC Player of the Year honor to headline the 2014 All-ODAC Women's Tennis Awards. Generals' mentor Erin Ness earned ODAC Coach of the Year recognition, while Emory & Henry College's Stella Di Michele picked up ODAC Rookie of the Year laurels. Shenandoah University's Molly Barb received the ODAC/Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete Award.
  • Generals Claim 24th ODAC Women's Tennis Title

    The 20th ranked and top-seeded Washington and Lee women's tennis team claimed a 5-0 win over second-seeded Roanoke in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championship match on Sunday at Sweet Briar College. The conference title was W&L's 12th straight and the 24th in the 31 years that the ODAC has awarded a women's tennis championship.

  • ODAC Women's Tennis Tournament Seeds Set

    Washington and Lee University is in search of its 24th ODAC women’s tennis crown as the Generals (13-2 overall, 11-0 ODAC) enter play in the 2014 ODAC Women’s Tennis Tournament as the top seed for the 12th straight year. Winner of the past 11 conference championships, W&L is followed closely into the postseason by second seeded Roanoke College (14-2, 10-1).

  • Generals Selected Atop ODAC Women's Tennis Preseason Poll

    Washington and Lee University collected 11 first place votes on the way to 121 total points to top the 2014 ODAC Women's Tennis Preseason Poll. Roanoke College holds down the second spot after receiving 98 tallies, and Bridgewater College slots third with 90 points and the remaining top nod in the annual survey of the league's head coaches.
  • W&L Standout Erika Proko Hamilton Featured in NCAA’s 40-in-40 Series

    Washington and Lee alumna Erika Proko Hamilton '03 has been featured by the NCAA as part of its Division III 40-in-40 series. Hamilton, who was recently inducted into the W&L Athletics Hall of Fame, was a six-time All-American for the W&L women's tennis team. She received an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship and was a finalist for the NCAA Woman of the Year.
  • Virginia Wesleyan Tabs Cummings as Director of Tennis

    Virginia Wesleyan College named Darryl Cummings its new Director of Men's and Women's Tennis on Monday afternoon. Cummings will also serve as the Marlins' assistant sports information director. Cummings comes to VWC from Old Dominion University where he served as director of tennis and head coach from 1992-2011.
  • Roanoke Names Ragsdale as Women's Tennis Head Coach
    August 13, 2013
    Daniel Ragsdale will serve as the new head coach of the Roanoke College women's tennis program announced by Director of Athletics, Scott Allison. He will replace Justin Fainter, who left Roanoke College in June to become the Head Women's and Men's Tennis Coaching Position at Pfeiffer College in Misenheimer, NC. Ragsdale comes to Roanoke College as Head Tennis Pro at Roanoke Country Club, a position he's held since 2011.
  • Jessica Giuggioli Named Head Women's Tennis Coach at E&H
    July 27, 2013
    Jessica Giuggioli has been selected as the next Head Women's Tennis Coach at Emory & Henry College, Director of Athletics Myra Sims announced today. Giuggioli comes to E&H after serving as a Graduate Assistant Women's Tennis Coach at East Tennessee State University for the past two seasons.
