Score: Roanoke 5, Lynchburg 4

Records: Maroons 26-10, Hornets 24-18

Location: Lynchburg Va.

The Lead: The Maroons continue their streak as they took down Lynchburg University in their second game of the ODAC tournament. Roanoke came out on top early by scoring three runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Hornets rallied in the top of the sixth to bring the game within one run, but the Maroons were able to shut them down to take the win.  

Highlights:

• With two singles to start off the bottom of the first put runners on first and third which was followed with a hit through the left side by Lauren Hoffman that scored a run. With runners still on second and third Kate Houle hit a fly ball into right field which plated a run. Lilly Burns followed with a double off the fence to bring in a third run for the Maroons.
• In the bottom of the fifth with runners on first and second Adriana Rivera doubled into right field to bring in a run. Hoffman followed with a single to the third basewoman that also brought in a run.
• The Hornets were able to get a rally started in the top of the sixth by scoring three runs and bringing the score within one run but were unable to pull ahead.
• Meri Bostic, Rivera, and Hoffman went 2 for 3.
