The Lead: The Maroons drop two in their double header against the Quakers. The Maroons started off game one on top until the Quakers hit a walk off single in the bottom of the seventh. The Quakers took the early lead in game two. The Maroons battled from behind the entire game but were unable to pull ahead.  

Highlights:

• The Maroons were able to jump ahead by two in the top of the second with a single up the middle by Jordyn DiFava.
• With the bases loaded in the top of the fourth DiFava drew a walk bringing in another run for the Maroons. Morgan Clark singled to the first basewoman which allowed for Makayla Austin to score bringing the score to 4-1.
• The Quakers battled in the bottom of the seventh to take the win over the Maroons with a walk off single to left center field.

Highlights:

• The Quakers took a quick lead in the first with a three-run home run.
• In the top of the third the Maroons started to chip away at the Quakers lead when Meri Bostic single through the right side of the field which allowed for Rachel Sirbaugh to score.
• In the top of the fifth the Maroons were able to bring game within one with single into right field by Lauren Hoffman that scored Kate Houle and Erin Gorschboth.
• The Quakers extended their lead in the bottom of the fifth with a three-run home run.
• Difava went 2 for 2 in game one with three RBI's

Up next: Roanoke returns home Friday April 7th to host No.2 Christopher Newport. Game one is scheduled to start at 3:30pm.
