The Basics

Records: Roanoke 15-16, 6-5 ODAC / Randolph-Macon 23-8, 6-3 ODAC

The Lead: Roanoke rallied from a four run deficit to defeat Randolph-Macon 6-5 in nine innings.

How it Happened
- Randolph-Macon led 4-0 after two innings and held that same lead heading into the bottom of the sixth innings.
- RC got two runs in the sixth on a Katie Smith RBI single and a sacrifice fly off the bat of Ruthie Williams.
- Roanoke rallied in the seventh inning, loading the bases with one out before Smith singled to make the score 4-3.
- Williams then followed with a single of her own to score Taylor Slate and tie the game at 4-4.
- Each team scored a run in the eighth inning before Randolph-Macon would strand a runner on third in the top of the ninth.
Taylor Carter was bunted over to third to start the RC ninth.
- After the Jackets loaded the bases on intentional walks, Mattie Morris singled home Slate to give RC the win.
Emily Salsberry allowed just two hits in eight innings of relief and struck out four as she earned the win to improve her record to 2-2 on the year.

The Lead: Nelda Bagley allowed just four hits in the circle as Randolph-Macon earned a split with a 5-1 victory.

How it Happened
- With R-MC up 2-0 the Yellow Jackets doubled their lead following solo home runs from Harley Jones and Madison Gilman in the third inning.
- Randolph-Macon extended its lead to 5-0 in the fourth inning after it took advantage of one of three RC errors on the day.
- The lone RC run of the day came when Smith doubled home Carter to make it 5-1 in the sixth inning.
- Bagley improved to 10-5 on the season after she struck out five in going the distance.

Up Next: Roanoke will travel to Bridgewater for an ODAC doubleheader on Tuesday.
