The Short Story: Lynchburg picked up a 7-2 win over the Maroons in ODAC men's tennis action on Thursday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lynchburg took all three points from a round of tightly contested doubles play. Levi Vigdorchik and Lauren Muhlhause topped Federico Maccari and Zach Kriebel 8-6 at #1, Carter McCleary and Emile Paindavoine defeated Hardt Lesko and John-Henry Herrington 8-5 at #2, and Dan Hardy and Christian Zepeda picked up an 8-4 win over Julio Marques and Jackson Wagner at #3.
- The Maroons got singles victories from Marques and Lance Beheler. Marques bested Patricio Zepeda 6-2, 6-2 at the #4 spot, while Beheler recorded a one-set 7-7 (7-0) win over Cooper Brewen at #6.
- The #2 singles match went the distance, as Muhlhause overcame Kriebel by a count of 6-2, 2-6, 6-3.
- Elsewhere, Vigdorchik bested Maccari 6-0, 6-2 at #1 singles, while Sebastian Sierra beat Lesko 6-2, 6-1 at #3 and Alex Rintoul edged Herrington 7-6, 6-4 at #5.
