The Lead: One week after defeating Randolph College in Kerr Stadium, 1-0, the Roanoke men's soccer team traveled to Lynchburg to face the WildCats in the quarterfinals of the 2021 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Men's Soccer Tournament. Just past the mid-way point of the first half, the home team would score and take a 1-0 lead into the break. Roanoke would lead the second half in shots taken, 3-1, but could not get the equalizer and fell in the opening round of the ODAC Tournament.

Highlights:

  • At the 25-minute mark, Randolph got on the scoreboard when Evan Blow scored his conference leading 17th goal of the season.
  • The first 45 minutes would see the Wildcats enjoy a 7-2 advantage in shots taken and the home team lead at the break.
  • 11 minutes into the second half, Ryan Pidgeon would send a shot towards the center of the goal but the shot was saved and Randolph kept their, 1-0, lead.
  • The Maroons got two more shots off during the remainder of the night but could not get the tying goal as they fell, 1-0, on the road.
  • Zach Behe registered one save for RC.
