ODAC WBB Tournament Update | Bridgewater Withdraws from Field

BRIDGEWATER, Va. --- Bridgewater College has been forced to withdraw from the ODAC Women’s Basketball Tournament due to COVID-19 pandemic protocols, per an announcement by the school on Friday morning.

The Eagles, seeded first in the 10-team field, were scheduled to host #9 Ferrum College in the quarterfinals on Saturday in Bridgewater. With the Bridgewater vs. Ferrum quarterfinal deemed a “no contest,” the Panthers will advance to the semifinal round of the tournament. They will face the winner of fourth-seeded Roanoke College and fifth-seeded Shenandoah, which compete in the quarterfinals tonight (Friday, March 5) in Salem. The semifinals begin on Tuesday, March 9, on the campus of the higher seed in each matchup.
