BC led off the bottom of the ninth with a pair of singles from Brett Howell and Jake Wade. Nuttycombe then singled down the left line to plate Howell and pull the Eagles within two at 6-4. Sanderson followed with an RBI single to cut the advantage to one. A bunt single from Devon Snow then loaded the bases with no outs and the heart of the Bridgewater lineup due to the plate.

Langford then induced a comebacker groundout before striking out Jonathan Mason for the second out of the inning. Hacker then stepped to the dish and hit a fly ball to left which was tracked down by the Jackets' centerfielder Weymouth for the third and final out.
