LC, RMC Earn Byes into Semifinals
FOREST, Va. ---
Lynchburg College and Randolph-Macon College earned byes into the
semifinals of the 2010 ODAC Field Hockey Tournament in the
sport’s six-team format. The Hornets garnered the top
seed after winning each of their seven league contests. The
Yellow Jackets enter the ODAC postseason as the second seed.
Washington and Lee University and Eastern Mennonite University will
host quarterfinal contests thanks to their ranks as the third and
fourth seeds, respectively. Bridgewater College will travel
across town to Eastern Mennonite as the fifth seed, and
sixth-seeded Virginia Wesleyan makes the trek west for a matchup
with the Generals.
ODAC tournament action begins Saturday, October 30, with both
quarterfinal events. The winners will play Wednesday,
November 3, at either Lynchburg or Randolph-Macon. The ODAC
Championship will take place on Saturday, November 6, on the campus
of the highest remaining seed.
