ODAC Men's Lacrosse Tournament Pairings Announced

Third Straight Season with Generals as Top Seed

FOREST, Va. --- Washington and Lee University stands atop the ODAC Men's Lacrosse Tournament six-team field for a third straight season as the Generals sprinted thru the league schedule with a perfect 10-0 record. The University of Lynchburg enters as the second seed and joins W&L with byes thru the quarterfinal round.

Top-billing for the nationally 17th-ranked Generals affords them hosting responsibilities for the semifinals and championships in the ODAC's final four-plus format. Lynchburg, also ranked by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) as the #20 squad in Division III, will see its first action in Lexington on Friday.

Two ties in the final standings dictated the remaining seeds in the six-team field. Hampden-Sydney College and Randolph-Macon College finished in a deadlock for the third seed. The Tigers' 14-11 victory during the regular season secured the third seed for H-SC and slotting R-MC as the fourth seed.

Roanoke College and Bridgewater College closed the regular season knotted for the fifth seed. The Maroons posted a 20-6 win in their head-to-head matchup, awarding Roanoke the fifth seed and the Eagles the sixth position. Bridgewater will open the tournament on Tuesday at Hampden-Sydney, while Roanoke will travel to Randolph-Macon for its quarterfinal matchup.

Tournament play continues on Friday and Saturday, May 3-4, with the semifinals and championship at Washington and Lee.
