ODAC Men's Tennis Tournament Field Announced

Washington and Lee Sets Sights on 38th Title

FOREST, Va. --- No program has won more conference championships than Washington and Lee men's tennis as the Generals have claimed 37 league trophies including nine straight. W&L finds itself in favorable position yet again as it opens the 2019 ODAC Men's Tennis Tournament as the top seed.

Washington and Lee will serve as one of four quarterfinal hosts, which will be competed on Tuesday, April 30 on the campuses of the top four seeds. Virginia Wesleyan will serve as host of the semifinals and championship in the ODAC's final four-plus format on Saturday and Sunday, May 4-5 at the Marlins' Everett Tennis Center.

Hampden-Sydney College, Virginia Wesleyan, and Guilford College join W&L in hosting quarterfinal matchups. Their opponents, however, took a quick reference to the ODAC's tiebreaking procedures to determine.

Bridgewater College and Randolph-Macon College tied for fifth position. The Eagles head-to-head win during the regular season awarded them the fifth seed and a quarterfinal date at fourth-seeded Guilford. R-MC, positioned sixth in the field, makes its shortest league trip to third-seeded Virginia Wesleyan.

The University of Lynchburg and Roanoke College locked for the seventh spot with the Hornets picking up the higher slot thanks to its regular season head-to-head victory. Lynchburg will make the hour-long jog over 460 to #2 Hampden-Sydney on Tuesday. Eighth-seeded Roanoke will make a quick trip up I-81 to W&L for their opening match.
