FOREST, Va. --- Washington and Lee University, winner of 39 of the 45 men's tennis trophies handed out by the conference since 1977, enter the 2023 ODAC Men's Tennis Tournament in its customary top-seeded position following a 9-0 run through its league slate of matches.

ODAC newcomer Averett University (8-1) enjoys its first conference men's tennis postseason as the #2 seed, while Shenandoah University (7-2) occupies third position, its best league rankings since joining the ODAC prior to the 2012-13 season.

The top-four seeds host quarterfinal matches on Wednesday. Determining the last of those early hosts came down to conference tiebreakers. Virginia Wesleyan University (6-3) toppped Randolph-Macon College (3-6) on Saturday afternoon, putting the Marlins into a tie with the University of Lynchburg (6-3). VWU defeated the Hornets during the regular season head-to-head, awarding the fourth seed to Virginia Wesleyan. Lynchburg, as the fifth seed, will travel to VWU for quarterfinal play.

Tiebreakers were also needed to sift out the sixth and seventh seeds. Guilford College and Hampden-Sydney College featured 5-4 leage records. The Quakers defeated the Tigers, 5-4, in their regular season matchup, earning GC the #6 seed and a trip to Shenandoah in the quarterfinals. H-SC will travel to Averett on Wednesday, while eighth-seeded Randolph-Macon meets W&L in Lexington.

Following Wednesday's quarterfinals, Washington and Lee welcomes the four semifinalists to its campus for the semifinals and championship. The Generals will serve as hosts for both the men's and women's final four as the predetermined host for both events. Those matches are set for Saturday and Sunday, April 29-30. Match times for all contests will be communicated once finalized.
