Tournament Update | Championship Location Changed

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. --- In anticipation of possible inclement weather, the ODAC men's and women's tennis championship matches will move to a new location and be conducted indoors on Sunday afternoon.

The Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center at Old Dominion University will serve as a venue for the final two ODAC tennis matches of the season. The complex features 12 outdoor and eight indoor courts, the latter of which the conference will use on Sunday afternoon.

Sunday's schedule will begin with the men's championship at 11:00 a.m. ET. Top-seeded Washington and Lee University will square off with #2 Hamdpen-Sydney College for the league crown. The Generals took down #4 Guilford College, 5-1, on Saturday in the semifinals to punch their ticket to the title match. The Tigers went thru a much tighter match before topping #3 Virginia Wesleyan University, 5-4.

Much like the men's competition, the women's event features the top-two seeds vying for the league hardware with #1 Washington and Lee meeting #2 University of Lynchburg. The Generals defeated #4 Randolph College, 5-0, on Saturday in the first semifinal, while the Hornets topped #3 Randolph-Macon College, 5-2, to put themselves in the championship match for the first time since the ODAC to a head-to-head team tournament format in 2007.
