WASHINGTON AND LEE ENTERS AS TOP SEED FOR SECOND-STRAIGHT YEAR

Tournament Bracket

FOREST, Va. --- Washington and Lee University and Randolph-Macon College own seeds #1 and #2 for the second-consecutive year heading into the 2011 ODAC Volleyball Tournament.  The Generals and Yellow Jackets went a combined 19-1 in ODAC play with W&L completing the conference regular season undefeated.

Lynchburg College secured the third seed with its win over Randolph College on Wednesday evening.  Virginia Wesleyan College is locked in as the fourth seed after earning the higher spot via head-to-head tie-breakers during the regular season over Bridgewater College. 

The Eagles will make a trip to Virginia Beach to take on the Marlins as the fifth seed.  Guilford College earned the fifth seed due to head-to-head tie-breakers over Emory & Henry and will travel to Lynchburg to face the Hornets, while seventh-seeded Emory & Henry College heads to Ashland to square off with R-MC.  Hollins University, in its first year back in the ODAC since 2004, holds down the eighth seed and will travel up I-81 to Lexington to face the Generals.

ODAC tournament action begins Wednesday, November 2, with four quarterfinal matchups at the higher seeds.  The event continues on Saturday, November 5, with semifinal contests in the morning followed by the conference championship match in the afternoon at the highest seed.

Semifinal 2: Winner 2v7 vs. Winner 3v6 – 12:30 p.m.
Final:  Winner Semifinal #1 vs. Winner Semifinal #2 – 5:00 p.m.
