Randolph-Macon Secures Top Seed

FOREST, Va. --- Randolph-Macon won all but one match during the ODAC regular season, placing the Yellow Jackets atop the conference standings and awarding them the top seed in the upcoming ODAC Volleyball Tournament.  Virginia Wesleyan College won its final match of the season on Saturday, vaulting itself to the second seed by virtue of head-to-head tiebreakers over Washington and Lee University.  Lynchburg College rounds out the event's top four seeds.

Roanoke College will play as the fifth seed and make the 60-mile trip to the Hill City to square off with LC in quarterfinal play.  Randolph College locked down the sixth position thanks to its head-to-head win over Emory & Henry College, earning the WildCats a trip to Lexington for opening action against W&L.  The Waps, as the seventh seed, head across the state to VWC.  The final spot in the eight-team tournament also needed tiebreakers to decide.  Shenandoah University will be the eighth seed thanks to its regular season victory over Bridgewater College.

ODAC tournament action begins Wednesday, November 5, with four quarterfinal matchups on the campuses of the four highest seeds. The event continues on Saturday, November 8, with semifinal contests and the conference championship match hosted by the highest-seeded advancing team from the quarterfinals.
