May 15, 2022 Hornets Lock Up Fourth ODAC Baseball Title
Shenandoah University's success in the ODAC Baseball Tournament since becoming a member of the ODAC in 2012-13 continued on Sunday afternoon as the Hornets capped an unbeaten weekend at Truist Point ballpark with a 13-0 victory over Roanoke College to secure the 2022 conference championship.
Shenandoah (34-10-1) has now won four ODAC baseball trophies with three coming since 2018. The win on Sunday in High Point, N.C., also brings with it the conference's automatic entry into the NCAA Division III Tournament. That field will be announced Monday at noon ET via selection show on NCAA.com.
May 13, 2022 ODAC Announces All-ODAC Baseball Awards
The University of Lynchburg saw three players earn special individual honors and seven standouts pick up all-conference team selections to headline the 2022 All-ODAC Baseball Awards. Shenandoah University earned six team selections and one special recognition. Bridgewater College and Randolph-Macon College features five team picks with the Eagles securing the final special honor.
Lynchburg outfield Avery Neaves earned ODAC Player of the Year honors, while Bridgewater righty Reid Long garnered ODAC Pitcher of the Year laurels. Lynchburg mentor Lucas Jones collected ODAC Coach of the Year recognition from his peers, while Hornets' starter Nick Mattfield received ODAC Rookie of the Year distinction. Shenandoah first baseman Pearce Bucher was tabbed the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete of the Year by the league's athletic communication personnel.

Each of the first round series of the ODAC Baseball Tournament required just two games to narrow the field down to the final four teams advancing to the second weekend. Bridgewater College, University of Lynchburg, Roanoke College, and Shenandoah University will travel to High Point, N.C., for double-elimination competition at Truist Point ballpark.

May 1, 2022 Lynchburg Headlines ODAC Baseball Tournament Field
The final game did not finish until after midnight early Sunday morning, but the 2022 ODAC Baseball Tournament field has been determined, setting up conference teams for two weekends of competition. Nationally sixth-ranked University of Lynchburg tops the eight-team field following a 16-4 run through its league slate.
ODAC teams will begin with four best-of-three series hosted by the top-four seeds next weekend, May 6-8. Days and game times will be determined as competitors work through any scheduling concerns surrounding exams and graduation. The four teams that advance from the first round series will travel to High Point, N.C., for double-elimination play at Truist Point ballpark. Games are slated for May 13-15.

Truist Point, the home of the High Point Rockers, will host the final weekend of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Baseball Championship from May 13-15, 2022. The eight-team field will compete in a double-elimination format tournament that will include as many as seven games at Truist Point.
