GC Wins 12th ODAC Golf Championship

CAPE CHARLES, Va. --- Guilford College claimed its second-straight and 12th overall ODAC golf championship on Tuesday afternoon at the Bay Creek Resort.  The Quakers, ranked second in the country, shot a 596 two round total (296-300) to finish 20-over-par, 19 strokes clear of second place Roanoke College (310-305--615).  Washington and Lee University finished in third place with a 622 two round total (315-307). 

Randolph-Macon College (318-308—626) placed fourth, followed by Bridgewater College (313-316—629), Hampden-Sydney College (319-313—632), Lynchburg College (316-327—643), and Virginia Wesleyan College (354-346—700). 

Roanoke’s Brandon Ketron finished as the individual medalist, carding a 1-over par score of 74-71—145.  Guilford’s Drew Thompson and Nick Shedd both finished 3-over par for the tournament to finish tied for second.  Thompson carded a 73-74—147, while Nicholas signed off on a 72-75—147. Randolph-Macon College’s Hunter Weaver and Kyle Fuller finished tied for fourth at 5-over par.  Weaver recorded a 76-73—149, while Fuller chimed in with a 78-71—149.  RC’s Adam Skaff (81-69—150) finished in sixth at 6-over.
