--- Randolph College scored three first-half goals
less than five minutes apart to earn a 3-0 win over Guilford
College in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Men's Soccer
Tournament quarterfinal Saturday night.
With the win, Randolph (9-6-3) advances to the semifinals to face
the top-seeded Roanoke College in Salem, Va., while the Quakers
finish their season with a 10-8 overall record.
In the 14th minute, the WildCats' Jacob Lusczek booted the ball
into the net off a deflected cross into the box. Three minutes
later, John Adams beat his defender from the left side to give
Randolph a 2-0 advantage. Two minutes later, Will Wolf fired a shot
into the net off a free kick deflection to increase the WildCats'
lead to 3-0.
Randolph held a 17-9 shots advantage. Michael MacVane made six
saves in net for the Quakers. Carter Smith had five stops for
the WildCats.
