Undefeated Marlins Own Top Seed

FOREST, Va. --- Virginia Wesleyan College is one of
two undefeated teams to enter the 2012 ODAC Women's Soccer
Tournament, with the Marlins owning the top seed in the eight-team
field. The top three seeds in this year's postseason event
have combined for just one loss.
Washington and Lee University owns the second seed, while
third-seeded Lynchburg College joins VWC as a squad having yet to
experience defeat in 2012. Bridgewater College rounds out the
top four and joins VWC, W&L and LC as quarterfinal hosts.
The Eagles will welcome fifth-seeded Roanoke College to
Bridgewater on Saturday. The two squads tied in the regular
season for fourth in the ODAC standings, but BC's head-to-head win
over RC earned the former team the higher billing.
Randolph-Macon College enters the field as the sixth seed and
will travel to Lynchburg for its opening game. Seventh-seeded
Shenandoah University heads south down I-81 to Washington and Lee,
while #8 Emory & Henry College makes the trip to Virginia
Wesleyan.
ODAC tournament action begins Saturday, October 27, with four
quarterfinal matchups to be played at the highest four seeds.
The winners will play Wednesday, October 31, at the two highest
remaining seeds. The ODAC Championship will take place on
Saturday, November 3, on the campus of the remaining highest
seed.
