Hornets Top Eagles For Baseball Title
Michael Kenah launched a sacrifice fly scoring junior Ashton Paige for the winning run in the eighth inning on Sunday as the Lynchburg baseball team defeated Bridgewater, 2-1, for LC's first ODAC title since 1990. It is the eighth overall conference crown for Lynchburg, who now earns the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Walton, Chandler Lead Baseball Awards
R-MC's Jordan Walton and BC's Kevin Chandler headline the 2012 All-ODAC Baseball Awards as the ODAC Player and Pitcher of the Year, respectively. E&H's Trey McCall was tabbed the ODAC Coach of the Year, and H-SC's Zach Whitaker earned ODAC Rookie of the Year accolades. LC's Zach Fitzpatrick was named the ODAC/Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete.

H-SC Advances With a 13-8 Win Over GC
After falling 8-1 in the opening game of the 2012 ODAC Baseball Tournament, the Hampden-Sydney Tigers responded with a 13-8 victory over Guilford College and advance to the third day of the Tournament. The Tigers, now at 14-26, will play at 3:00 pm and will wait to find out their opponent. The Quakers, having taken their second loss, end their season at 21-20 overall.

Hornets Defeat Wasps, 3-0, in ODAC Tournament
Freshman starting pitcher Brandon Miller turned in his finest performance of the season on Friday in helping the first-seeded Lynchburg College baseball team defeat Emory & Henry College, 3-0, in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tournament. Lynchburg moves on to play Saturday at 11 a.m. while Emory & Henry is eliminated from the tournament.

Jeb Weymouth and Tim Benjamin both totaled three hits and Jamie Hendrick tossed a gem to lead R-MC to a 4-2 victory over Bridgewater in the second round of the conference tournament Friday evening at City Stadium.

Senior Robert Garrett pitched a complete game on Thursday as the Lynchburg College baseball team defeated Hampden-Sydney College 8-1 in the first round of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tournament. Lynchburg plays the loser of the game between Emory & Henry College and Randolph-Macon College Friday at 3 p.m. in Lynchburg City Stadium.

Randolph-Macon held off a late rally by Emory & Henry to earn a 7-5 victory in the First Round of the ODAC Tournament at Lynchburg City Stadium. The Yellow Jackets will play Bridgewater in a winners bracket game at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

ODAC Baseball Tournament Seeds Set
The pairings are set for the 2012 ODAC Baseball Tournament and Lynchburg College enters the postseason as the league’s top seed. The Hornets topped the conference with a 14-4 league mark to go with a 30-8 overall record. LC has been the top seed three out of the past five years heading into the tournament.
