Setting Up the Weekend in NCAA Tournaments
ODAC teams and individual are moving into the latter rounds of
their respective NCAA tournaments this weekend. Football is
the only exception as its tournament begins on Saturday with 16
first round contests around the nation. Brad and J.J. take
the time to give some insight into each of the ODAC's athletes and
squads still in contention.
In cross country, Lynchburg sends its men's team to Cleveland,
Ohio, along with South/Southeast Region champion Ricky Flynn.
The men also feature a pair of individual runners in EMU's Richy
Bikko and VWC's Sean Whitson. On the women's side, LC's
Jennie Pernisi and Ashley Meyer take to the course at Highland
Hills Golf Course. They'll be joined by Washington and Lee
athlete, Kat Telfeyan.
In women's soccer, Lynchburg is again in action as play moves into
the Round of 16. The Hornets travel to Trinity University in
Texas to take on Concordia-Moorehead. The Cobblers have not
lost yet this season, with their only blemishes coming in a pair of
conference losses.
Hampden-Sydney represents the ODAC in football as the region's No.
3 team hosts Johns Hopkins on Saturday. The Tigers look to
cash in on the home field advantage and continue on a path towards
Salem and the Stagg Bowl. Kick-off is set for 12:00 p.m.
