ODAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

INDOOR TRACK
Ralph Davis, Lynchburg, Senior,
Throws
Davis, a senior from Herndon, Va.,
continued his strong indoor campaign with a big performance in the
weight throw at the Vince Brown Invitational over the weekend.
Davis set a new ODAC seasonal top mark with a toss of 17.00 meters
(55' 9.25") to win the event. His throw was over a foot farther
than the nearest competitor at the meet, and the mark out-paces
ODAC competition by 2.46 meters (8' 1.25").

INDOOR TRACK
Amy Smith, Shenandoah, Senior,
Mid-Distance
Smith, a senior from Bassett, Va., ran
to three top three finishes and a trio of school records at the
DuCharme Invitational over the weekend. Smith won the mile run with
a new ODAC seasonal top time of 5:18.71, breaking the Shenandoah
record by nearly eight seconds. She went on to place third in the
800-meter run with a time of 2:25.20, just short of five seconds
faster than the previous school standard. Smith also partnered with
her teammates in the 4x400-meter relay to place third in a time of
4:31.38, better than four seconds faster than the old school
mark.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
Gabriel Lowder, Guilford, Senior,
Guard
Lowder, a senior from Yadkinville,
N.C., set the Guilford school record with 10 three-pointers in
Guilford's win over Roanoke, leaving himself just one short of
tying the ODAC single-game mark. He made his first nine shots from
long distance and finished 10-of-11 behind the arc on his way to a
career-high 36 points. The output is not only the most by a Quaker
this season, but it also tops the ODAC seasonal tables. Overall,
Lowder shot 12-for-17 for the game and also had four rebounds and
two steals in Guilford's 89-72 win over Roanoke.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Stephanie Rheinheimer, Eastern Mennonite,
Sophomore, Guard
Rheinheimer, a sophomore from Manheim,
Pa., helped the EMU women go 3-0 and take over first place in the
ODAC standings. On Tuesday, Rheinheimer notched a career best 19
points in a come-from-behind win over Randolph-Macon. She scored
all of her points in the second half, including 10 during a
decisive 23-3 game-ending run. Thursday, she scored 11 as she hit
three triples, the fourth straight game in which she hit three or
more from long range. Then on Saturday's at Roanoke, Rheinheimer
scored the final five points of the contest, including the
game-winning jumper with 12 seconds to play, giving the Royals a
45-44 win. She finished with 14 points and 5 rebounds. For the
week, Rheinheimer averaged 14.7 points with 2.7 rebounds. She was
8-for-19 from three point range for 42% and 10-for-10 from the free
throw line. After averaging 8.3 points over the first 10 games of
the season, Rheinheimer has scored in double figures in each of the
last 10 games, averaging 14.6 points. She is also first in the ODAC
in three point field goals and second in three point field goal
percentage.
