ODAC Players of the Week

FOOTBALL
Cross Trued, Randolph-Macon, Sr.,
Defensive End
Trued, a senior from Lorton, Va., was
a mainstay in Emory & Henry's backfield on Saturday as the
Randolph-Macon upended the previously undefeated Wasps, 22-10.
Trued recorded 2.5 quarterback sacks that cost E&H 22 yards of
offense. He made 3.0 stops behind the line of scrimmage in total,
accounting for 23 yards lost. Trued and teammate Calvin Davis
combined on a 10-yard sack in the third quarter, and the senior
lineman had a pair of solo efforts in the fourth quarter, one for a
loss of seven yards and the other for another 10-yard setback for
E&H. Trued finished the contest with six total stops.

FOOTBALL
Luke Heinsohn, Washington and Lee, Sr.,
Running Back
Heinsohn, a senior from
Charlottesville, Va., helped lead Washington and Lee to a 42-21 win
over Guilford on Saturday by rushing for 146 yards and three
touchdowns on 24 carries. He had a pair of 13-yard touchdown runs
--- one to close the first half and the other to open the second
half --- and a 1-yard burst just before the end of the third
quarter. Heinsohn, who also serves as the Generals' kicker,
converted six PATs to finish with 24 total points and became the
Washington & Lee all-time scoring leader in the process.
Heinsohn now has 228 career points, eclipsing the former record of
220 held by Marc Watson since the 2001 season. That total is also
just 24 points from cracking the top-five all-time in the ODAC. For
the year, Heinsohn leads the ODAC with 486 yards and nine
touchdowns on 78 carries. His 72 points also lead the league.

FIELD HOCKEY
Lindsay Leonard, Lynchburg, Sr.,
Midfielder
Leonard, a senior from Yorktown, Va.,
picks up her second straight weekly honor after she helped
Lynchburg to a 2-1 week with its lone loss coming to 14th-ranked
Christopher Newport. The senior co-captain opened her week with all
three goals in a 3-0 conference win over Eastern Mennonite
University. She followed that with two goals in a 9-1 triumph over
Bridgewater. Against CNU, she fired seven shots, all on the
Captains' cage, as LC outshot CNU, 15-7, in a 1-0 loss.

GOLF
John Dozier III, Virginia Wesleyan,
Freshman
Dozier III, a freshman from
Manakin-Sabot, Va., posted his second tournament medalist finish of
the fall season on the way to his second weekly award of the
campaign. He recorded a pair of under par rounds to win the VSGA
Intercollegiate Championship title by seven strokes. He opened with
a two-under par 68 and finished with a one-under 69 on the way to
his two-day 137 on the 6,235-yard track at Danville Golf Club in
Danville, Va. The two rounds in the 60's were the only sub-70
rounds of the event. Dozier's mark also set a VWC record for 36
holes, topping the former Marlin mark of 140 set by Cole Herrington
in the 2004 Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate Championship. He is the
first VWC golfer to take medalist honors at the state event since
1989 when Albie Flanagan did it with a 75, defeating Lynchburg
College's Charles Hutchinson in a sudden-death playoff.

MEN'S SOCCER
Brian Cornell, Virginia Wesleyan, Jr.,
Midfielder
Cornell, a junior from Front Royal,
Va., enjoyed his best offensive game as a VWC player, producing a
hat trick with three goals in a 4-2 win at Emory & Henry. He
recorded his first tally just 1:31 into the contest, and then made
it 2-0 in the 12th minute. E&H pulled back to within one goal
twice at 2-1 and 3-2 before Cornell put the game away with this
third score in the 65th minute. Cornell is the first VWC player to
score three goals in a game since 2009 when Clay Price turned the
trick at N.C. Wesleyan.

WOMEN'S SOCCER
Becca Logan, Hollins, Jr.,
Forward
Logan, a junior from Culloden, W.Va.,
led Hollins to a 1-1 week with the loss coming in a tight 5-4
overtime decision against Emory & Henry. In that game, she
notched HU's first goal to tie the score 1-1 in the 25th minute.
Logan continued her week with four goals as Hollins exploded for a
9-2 win over Eastern Mennonite. After HU had twice gone ahead only
to see EMU tie the game at 2-all, Logan scored HU's third, fourth,
sixth and seventh goals break the game open. Logan, who entered the
season with eight career tallies, has already scored seven goals
this season as she paces Hollins with 16 points.

VOLLEYBALL
M.A. Boles, Washington and Lee, Jr.,
Outside Hitter
Boles, a junior from Houston, Texas,
put together five double-doubles to help lead the Generals to a 3-2
week. She averaged 4.35 kills and 3.75 digs per set. Boles notched
matches of 12, 14, 16 and 17 kills in addition to a career-high 28
winners to go along with 26 digs for her first 20-20 match in a
five-setter against Geneva. The 28 kills are the second-highest
single-match total in W&L history, trailing only Nancy
Reinhart's 29 kills in 1996. She also became the ninth W&L
athlete to reach the 1,000 career kills plateau. For the week,
Boles hit .270 with 87 kills, 75 digs, eight aces, seven assists
and seven total blocks.

CROSS COUNTRY
Tim Smith, Roanoke,
Senior
Smith, a senior from Roanoke, Va.,
collects his second straight and third overall weekly award as he
finished fourth at the Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by
Salisbury University. The 2011 ODAC Runner of the Year set a new
seasonal top-time in the conference as he finished the
eight-kilometer course in 25:35.00. His efforts helped lead the
Maroons to a fourth place team showing.

CROSS COUNTRY
Kaylee Kubisiak, Bridgewater,
Freshman
Kubisiak, a freshman from Abbottstown,
Pa., made a splash in her first collegiate appearance as she
finished seventh overall at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by
the University of Minnesota. She finished the six-kilometer course
with a time of 22:30.75, almost 55-seconds faster than teammate and
2011 ODAC Runner of the Year, Olivia Mills. Kubisiak's time is tops
in the ODAC this season by 6.25 seconds.
