ODAC Players of the Week

FOOTBALL
Josh White, Shenandoah, Fr., Defensive
Back
White, a freshman from Highland
Springs, Va., helped the Hornets improve to 2-1 by recording a pair
of interceptions in Shenandoah's 45-20 home win over Ferrum. Both
of White's takeaways came in the fourth quarter and led to SU
touchdowns, effectively putting the game out of reach. His first
came at his own 30-yard line, which he returned 43 yards to the
Ferrum 27-yard line. Four plays later, SU punched it in for seven
points. On the next Ferrum offensive play, White picked off his
second pass, this one at midfield. He returned it 47 yards to the
three-yard line. Two plays later, SU tacked on another touchdown.
White added three tackles and a broken up pass to his day.

FOOTBALL
Matt Pawlowski, Guilford, Jr.,
Quarterback
Pawlowski, a junior from Greensboro,
N.C., picks up his second straight weekly award after helping the
Quakers to a 35-27 win over Southern Virginia University and
Guilford's first 3-0 start since 2007. Pawlowski completed 28-of-38
passes (73.7%) for 394 yards and four touchdowns. He completed
passes to eight different receivers, and his touchdown passes
covered 34, 26 and two yards twice. He has thrown four or more
touchdown passes in each game this season. Pawlowski has yet to
throw an interception in 105 pass attempts this season, going
77-of-105 (73.3%) for 1,047 yards and 14 touchdowns thru three
games. He hasn't thrown an interception in his last five games
dating back to last season. His four TDs on Saturday moved him into
second place on Guilford's all-time list with 53 career scoring
strikes.

FIELD HOCKEY
Shelbi Holloman, Roanoke, So.,
Attack
Holloman, a sophomore from Suffolk,
Va., helped the Maroons to a 3-0 week as she collected eight total
points. She opened on Wednesday with the game-winner in a 3-2
triumph at Wilson. She followed that up with a hat-trick in a 5-0
win at Ferrum College. The Maroons also defeated Bethany University
(W.Va.) on the weekend. Holloman currently leads the ODAC with six
goals scored and 12 total points.

GOLF
Alex Taylor, Roanoke,
Jr.
Taylor, a junior from Roanoke, Va.,
led the Maroons to the team title at the Shenandoah Invitational.
Taylor tied for second overall, posting rounds of 75 and 71 for a
six-over 146 on the 7,000-yard par-70 layout at the Shenandoah
Valley Golf Club. Roanoke carded rounds of 303 and 285 (588) to
best NCAA Division II Shepherd University by one stroke in the team
standings.

GOLF
Mary-Frances Hall, Washington and Lee,
Fr.
Hall, a freshman from State Road,
N.C., won her collegiate debut at the ODAC Preview held at Rock
Barn Golf & Spa, the site of the 2014 and 2015 ODAC Golf
Championships. Hall shot an even-par 72 to win by six strokes over
the next closest competitor. Her even score bettered any single
round posted at Rock Barn at last season's preview and conference
championships.

MEN'S SOCCER
Isaac Arrington, Virginia Wesleyan, Sr.,
Forward
Arrington, a senior from DeSoto,
Texas, helped the Marlins to a 2-0 week by registered seven total
points. He opened with both goals in a 2-1 victory at Wesley
College on Wednesday. He continued his hot streak at Washington and
Lee, scoring the Marlins first goal and assisting Josh Kemp on the
game-winner in the Marlins' 2-1 win over the Generals. Arrington is
tied for second in the ODAC with 10 points and tied for first with
four assists. All of his points have come in the last three games,
all VWC victories.

WOMEN'S SOCCER
Dessi Dupuy, Lynchburg, Sr.,
Forward
Dupuy, a senior from Lynchburg, Va.,
poured in four goals with an assist as she adds to her ODAC
all-time best career total for goals scored. Dupuy chipped in two
goals and dished out an assist in the Hornets 10-0 win over Emory
& Henry on Friday. She followed that with two more goals in a
4-0 win 2013 NCAA qualifier Christopher Newport University. Dupuy
has now scored seven goals and handed out four assists for 18
points, all second in the ODAC this season.

VOLLEYBALL
Mackenzie Shand, Washington and Lee, So.,
Middle Blocker
Shand, a sophomore from Saline, Mich.,
helped the Generals to a 4-0 week that included a trio of ODAC
victories. From the middle of the Generals offense and defense,
Shand collected 39 total kills and hit at a blistering .516-clip.
She commanded the net effectively, registering 15 total blocks
including five to go with six digs and seven kills in a 3-1 win
over St. Mary's (Md.). In a 3-2 win over Lynchburg, Shand smacked
winners on 16-of-22 attacks with just one error for a .682 attack
percentage. she added in three blocks. She had 10 kills and hit an
even .500 with three more blocks in a 3-0 win over Bridgewater. For
the season, Shand leads the ODAC with a .421 attack percentage
(110-19-216) and is tied for first with 46 total blocks.

CROSS COUNTRY
Ryan Gehman, Eastern Mennonite,
Sr.
Gehman, a senior from Millersville,
Pa., helped Eastern Mennonite claim the team title at the
Shenandoah Valley Invitational. His time of 21:03 topped the field
by 16-seconds on the four-mile custom layout at Elk Run Trails. EMU
posted a team score of 28 points to best Bridgewater in the team
ranks.

CROSS COUNTRY
Kat Lehman, Eastern Mennonite,
Fr.
Lehman, a freshman from Dover, Ohio,
picks up her second weekly award of the season after leading
Eastern Mennonite to a "perfect" scoring total and first place at
the Shenandoah Valley Invitational. All five scoring Royals placed
first-thru-fifth in the point-assigned rankings --- one
non-collegiate runner placed first overall --- giving EMU a team
score of 15. Lehman led all collegiate runners with a
five-kilometer time of 19:27.00, 36-seconds faster than teammate
Hannah Chappell-Dick in second place.
