FIELD HOCKEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kayla Brady | Lynchburg | Jr. | Goalkeeper
Brady, a junior from Millsboro, Del., played a major role in Lynchburg's 3-0 week that featured a 2-0 upset of nationally third-ranked Johns Hopkins. Brady spent all 180 minutes guarding the Hornets cage, registering 21 total saves and a .913 save percentage. She opened with three saves in a 2-1 victory at Stevenson University during the midweek. She was spectacular in Lynchburg's 2-0 victory over JHU on Saturday. Brady stopped a career-high 16 shots in the unexpected shutout, eight in each half. But she was particularly busy in the first quarter, making six saves as the Blue Jays peppered 10 shots in the early going. Brady closed her week on Sunday with two more saves in a 2-1 victory over Dickinson College. For the season, Brady has spent an ODAC-high 428:46 minding her cage. She is second in the ODAC in saves (44) and save percentage (.830).

Zakky Johnston | Hampden-Sydney | Fy. | Midfielder
Johnston, a first-year from Meherrin, Va., helped Hampden-Sydney to a 2-0-1 week to stay atop the ODAC standings (5-0-1) with a three-goal week. Following a 1-1 draw on the road at N.C. Wesleyan, Johnston struck twice in a 5-2 victory over Emory University in a game hosted by Washington and Lee. He put the Tigers ahead 3-0 in the 20th minute after turning John Alexander's pass into an assist. After the Eagles registered two goals to pull within one, Johnston again beat Emory's keeper for the sixth combined goal of the first half. He finished off a feed from Ethan Farmer in the 34th minute. Johnston again found the scoresheet in H-SC's 3-2 triumph over Oglethorpe University two days later at W&L. He and Pierce Boerner connected in the 32nd minute to give the Tigers a 2-0 advantage. For the season, Johnston is tied for fifth in the ODAC in points (8) and tied for fourth in goals scored (4).

Ann Riley Huber | Washington and Lee | So. | Midfielder
Huber, a sophomore from Atlanta, Ga., showed off her speed in helping Washington and Lee to a pair of victories over contending foes from the south with her first points of the 2022 season. Huber opened her weekly account in a 3-1 win at Covenant. She burned past her marks on the left wing and beat them to the end line before putting a perfect pass into Grace Wielechowski for a goal in the 86th minute. Huber then scored the game-winner in the 58th minute win at Berry College, 2-1. She took the ball off a Vikings midfielder and created space with good footwork before sending a 25-yard blast into the upper-left corner to break a 1-1 draw.
