Interview with VWC's Jeff Bowers
FOREST, Va. --- In this week's ODAC
Podcast, Brad and J.J. focus on men's and women's soccer.
Traditionally two of the conference's deepest sports, soccer
continues showcase talent up and down the league with strong
non-conference results and some early season stunners in ODAC
play.
Joining this week's podcast is Virginia Wesleyan College Director
of Men's and Women's Soccer, Jeff Bowers. Coach Bowers is in
his 13th season guiding the women's program, but just his first in
charge of the men's team following his announcement as the director
of both squads. The VWC women (6-0-1 overall, 1-0-1 in ODAC
play) are currently ranked 14th in the country and third in the
Atlantic South Region by the National Soccer Coaches Association of
America (NSCAA). The men's team (2-3-1, 1-0-0) credits a
victory over reigning national champion Ohio Wesleyan University to
its early season results.
