BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Andrew Chrismer, Bridgewater College
Chrismer, a sophomore from Gettysburg, Pa., hit .636 in a 2-1 week for the Eagles with seven hits in 11 at bats including two homes and a double.  In a 14-2 win over Guilford, Chrismer hammered both his dingers while driving in four runs.  He also singled in the contest and scored three runs.  He followed that performance with another 3-for-4 showing in the nightcap against the Quakers, scoring two more times in a 13-1 win. 

BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Matt Nolen, Bridgewater College
Nolen, a senior from Lynchburg, Va., went eight strong innings in the second game against Guilford, surrending only four hits and one earned run.  He fanned five batters without allowing a free pass. 

Baseball Honor Roll
Brandon Zollman, Eastern Mennonite Went 4-for-10 with three runs scored in a 1-1 week for the Royals... In 3.1 innings of relief on the mound, he fanned six batters and picked up a save against Frostburg State.
John Goodwin, Guilford Hit .444 with four hits in nine at bats including a home run against Villa Julie.
Josh Michael, Hampden-Sydney Went 6-for-16 with a homer and four runs batted in for the Tigers... Had a pair of two-hit games.
Daniel Hadra, Hampden-Sydney Threw seven strong innings against RMC, giving three runs and fanning four to earn the victory.
D.W. Moore, Lynchburg Earned the victory with seven quality innings against E&H... fanned five and gave up two runs in the effort.

GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Matt Leisman, Washington & Lee University
Leisman, a senior from Sudbury, Mass., helped lead Washington & Lee to a fourth place finish at the Barton College Intercollegiate by completing the tournament as the individual runner-up.  Leisman fired a three-over-par 147 (74-73) to claim his second place honors and also make him the top NCAA D-III finisher at the event.  For the season, Leisman has played seven rounds and is third on the team with a 77.0 scoring average. 

Golf Honor Roll
Nick Fallon, Randolph-Macon Fired a 151 (72-79) to finish second at the Ferrum Invitational... Helped the team to the event title.

MEN'S LACROSSE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tyler Tolson, Lynchburg College
Tolson, a sophomore from Lutherville, Md., registered 11 points last week in victories over the College of Wooster and Virginia Wesleyan last week.  Against the Scots, Tolson scored five times while picking up three groundballs.  He duplicated the scoring effort against the Marlins and assisted on another while grabbing three more groundballs.  For the season, Tolson has 26 goals and three assists, netting at least five goals in every contest this season. 

Men's Lacrosse Honor Roll
Todd Bochenek, Guilford Scored once and assisted on four others in a 9-6 win over Washington & Jefferson.
Ryan Harrington, Hampden-Sydney Notched five goals and helped on another while picking up six groundballs in a 1-1 week for the Tigers.
Tyler Watkins, Randolph-Macon Scored four times in a win over Hood and added two more in a victory over Catholic... he also assisted on three other goals during the week.
Ned Rider, Washington & Lee Beat the keepers for four scores and assisted on four others to help the Generals to a 2-0 week.

WOMEN'S LACROSSE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kathryn Ollice, Lynchburg College
Ollice, a freshman from West Chester, Pa., scored six times and helped on two others in a 1-1 week for the Hornets.  Ollice notched two goals, an assist, two draw controls and a pair of groundballs in a loss to Villa Julie.  She backed that up with four tallies and one helper to go with two more draw controls and a trio of groundballs in a 17-5 win over N.C. Wesleyan. 

Women's Lacrosse Honor Roll
Mary Hutchins, Guilford Scored five times and helped on two other goals in a 0-2 week for the Quakers.
Traci Phipps, Randolph-Macon In an 11-10 win over Christopher Newport, Phipps scored three times and assisted on another in the only Jacket game of the week.
Katlyn Scarlett, Roanoke Made 16 saves including 10 in a the first half in a 10-6 win over Villa Julie College... she stopped Villa Julie's first seven shots of the game.
Ellie Donahue, Sweet Briar In an 0-3 week for the Vixens, Donahue scored 11 times and assisted on one other goal while picking up eight ground balls and causing five turnovers.

SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Hillary Hudgins, Roanoke College
Hudgins, a junior from Richmond, Va., batted .455 in Roanoke's four wins over the last week, collecting five hits in 11 at bats with three homeruns, five runs batted in, seven runs scored and a 1.273 slugging percentage.  She walked twice in the four contests and had an on-base percentage of .538.  Hudgins had two homeruns in the team's win over Division II Ohio Valley University.  She then swatted her third of the week in the Maroons' win over LaRoche College.  

SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Ashley Gills, Bridgewater College
Gills, a freshman from Cartersville, Va., pitched the Eagles' third no-hitter of the season in an 8-0 five-inning victory over Frostburg State.  Gills dominated the Bobcats, striking out eight and walking just one to complete the no-no.  She also pitched one hitless inning in a 5-1 win over Eastern Mennonite.  For the season, Gills has pitched 17 innings and has allowed just three hits and has not given up a run.  She has struck out 20 and walked just one.

Softball Honor Roll
Lindsay Ware, Bridgewater Went 6-for-14 with six runs scored and three more batted in for the Eagles.
Dana Detmar, Emory & Henry Went deep twice and drove in five runs in a 3-1 week for the Wasps... hit .357 in the four games.
Shannon Harris, Emory & Henry Went 2-1 during the week, fanning 20 batters in 16 innings of work.
Kelly Guarnieri, Guilford Went 3-for-4 in two games last week with a homerun in the first game against RMC... had her fourth multi-hit game in the nightcap vs. the Jackets.
DeNina Eldridge, Guilford Tossed seven innings against RMC, fanning six and allowing only two earned runs in the effort.
Courtney Brooks, Randolph-Macon Hurled RMC to its first win of the year with seven innings of five-hit ball against Guilford... fanned five and gave up two runs in the effort.
Melissa Viar, Sweet Briar Hit .483 (14-for-29) with six doubles, nine runs scored, and five RBI for the Vixens... Hit safely in all eight games, picking up two hits apiece in six of the contests.
Becca Almond, Sweet Briar Picked up two wins on SBC's spring trip, fanning 20 batters in 26 innings of work.

MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jamie McCardell, Washington & Lee University
McCardell, a sophomore from Cornwall, Vt., helped Washington & Lee extend its winning streak to 10-straight matches in wins over Virginia Wesleyan, Bridgewater and Eastern Mennonite.  He went 2-0 at #3 and #4 singles with a 6-3,7-5 win over VWC and a 6-3, 6-3 triumph over Bridgewater.  He was 2-1 at #1 and #2 doubles.  For the season, McCardell is 11-5 in singles play and 11-4 in doubles matches with numerous partners. 

Men's Tennis Honor Roll
Ian Koons, Eastern Mennonite Went 2-1 at #1 singles and 1-1 and #1 doubles in a 1-2 week for the Royals.
Mike Muir, Guilford College Went 2-0 at #5 singles and 1-0 with a default win at #3 doubles in a 1-1 week for the Quakers.

WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ginny Wortham, Washington & Lee
Wortham, a senior from Richmond, Va., went 4-0 this past week as the W&L women's tennis team improved to 9-0.  At #1singles and #1 doubles, Wortham won 6-0, 6-0 and 8-1, respectively, against Roanoke.  She followed that up with a 6-2, 7-5 and 8-2 wins at #2 singles and #3 doubles in a 7-2 team win over 11th-ranked Mary Washington.  On the seaosn, Wortham owns a 10-2 record in singles play as well as a 10-2 mark in doubles action.  She is currently ranked seventh in the Atlantic South Region. 

Women's Tennis Honor Roll
Krystal Parrish, Guilford Went 3-0 at #2 singles and 2-1 at #1 doubles in a 3-0 week for the Quakers... she has won 5-of-6 matches on the season.

MEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Wes Underwood, Roanoke College
Underwood, a freshman from Narrows, Va., was named the Male Athlete of the Meet at the season-opening Roanoke Invitational on Saturday.  To earn that honor, Underwood placed third in the 100-meter dash (11.55 secs.), fourth in the 200-meter dash (23.10 secs.) second in the high jump (1.73 meters), and third in the long jump (6.39 meters).  Underwood as also part of the Roanoke 4x100-meter relay team that placed third (45.68 secs.). 

Men's Outdoor Track and Field Honor Roll
Tony Konate, Bridgewater Won the 100-meter dash (11.10 secs.) ran a leg on the winning 4x100 relay (44.73) and sprint medley (3:37.17) teams at the Roanoke Invitational.
Nathan Turner, Eastern Mennonite Turned in an NCAA qualifying throw of 15.99 meters to win the shot put at the Roanoke Invitational... also tossed the hammer 48.42 meters to finish second.
Andy Rollins, Lynchburg Won the pole vault at Coastal Carolina by clearing 15-feet 4-inches.

WOMEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kate Mason, Roanoke College
Mason, a sophomore from Cumberland, Maine, won the 100-meter dash (12.56 secs.) as well as the 200-meter dash (26.73 secs.) at the season-opening Roanoke Invitational.  She also ran the second leg on the winning 4x100 meter relay team (49.70 secs.). 

Women's Outdoor Track & Field Honor Roll
Courtney Hartman, Bridgewater Placed second in the 100-meter dash (13.15 secs.) and fifth in the javelin (29.14 meters)... ran a leg on the second place 4x100 relay team (50.95 secs.).
Danielle Garofalo, Lynchburg Cleared 4-feet 11-inches in the high jump at the Coastal Carolina meet.
Elizabeth Webb, Washington & Lee Won the 5,000 meter run (18:32.21) at the W&L Invitational.
