MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
NATHAN RITTENHOUSE, BRIDGEWATER COLLEGE
Rittenhouse, a junior from Green Bank, West Virginia,
led the Eagles to the team title of the College Division State
Meet. Rittenhouse finished with a time of 27:46 to win the
meet - the second straight year he has finished first at the state
meet.

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
LIZ MUMAW, ROANOKE COLLEGE
Mumaw, a sophomore from Berryville, Virginia, wins
her second ODAC Runner of the Week award after helping the
Maroons to the team title at the Virginia State Meet last
weekend. She crossed the finish line in 25:13.21, a little
better than 3.5 seconds ahead of teammate Malloy McClaine to claim
the individual title on the six-kilometer course.

Kelsey Weibe, Eastern Mennonite | Placed 7th at the Virginia State Meet with a 6K time of 26:44.81. |
Grace Normann, Guilford | Led the Quakers' for the 4th time in 6 races with a career-low 5K time of 21:41.5 at Hagan Stone Park. |
Ashley Meyer, Lynchburg | Placed 2nd overall at the Hagan Stone Classic, helping the Hornets to the team title with a 5K time of 19:33.80. |
FIELD HOCKEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JENNY WEIR, LYNCHBURG COLLEGE
Weir, a freshman from Lynchburg, Virginia, scored
five goals in a 3-0 week for the Hornets. Wednesday against
Randolph-Macon, she posted two goals on three shots in a 5-0 win,
she tallied another goal in a 7-0 win against Sweet Briar, and on
Saturday she found the back of the net twice for the Hornets in a
4-1 win over Frostburg State.

GOLFER OF THE WEEK
PETER LATIMER, GUILFORD COLLEGE
Latimer, a sophomore from Markinch, Scotland, shot a
two-over-par 146 (71-75) at the Greensboro Invitational. Latimer
posted the ODAC's best finish (4th) in the 90-student field,
shooting the Quakers' low round (71) in Monday's opening round.
Helped Guilford place second only to top-ranked Methodist among 18
teams. Latimer has scored under par in three of five rounds
this season. Guilford was the top-rated NCAA D-III team going
into the tournament according to Golfstat with Latimer as the #1
individual player.

MICHAEL ABBONZIO, LYNCHBURG
COLLEGE
Abbonzio, a freshman from Maple Glen, Pennsylvania,
scored the game-winning goal in overtime in an upset 3-2 win on the
road against Virginia Wesleyan College on Wednesday. Abbonzio
backed that up with a two goal performance on Saturday against
Eastern Mennonite University to secure the Hornets 2-0 week in
conference play.

KRISTEN HARRIS, BRIDGEWATER COLLEGE
Harris, a freshman from Westminster, Maryland,
finished the week with 15 points in three matches to help lead the
Eagles to a 3-0 record. In an 8-0 victory over Sweet Briar, Harris
contributed two goals and two assists. Against Mary Baldwin, she
recorded a hat trick with three goals in a 5-1 win. She capped her
week with a goal and an assist in a key 3-2 ODAC victory over Emory
& Henry.

VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MARSHA HERMES, BRIDGEWATER COLLEGE
Hermes, a senior from Warrenton, Virginia, earns her
third ODAC Player of the Week award of the season. She was
named Co-MVP (with W&L's Rachel Phillips) at Averett this past
weekend, leading the Eagles to a 4-0 record in tournament
play. For the week, Bridgewater won all five of its matches
without dropping a game including a pair of 3-0 victories over
Randolph-Macon. Hermes played all 15 games for the Eagles,
collecting 66 kills and hitting .351 for the week. She added
12 blocks to her stat line. She made only 13 errors
throughout the week, but was even more efficient during the
tournament as she registered 55 kills against only eight errors in
115 attacks for a .409 hitting percentage. Bridgewater's
record now stands at 6-0 in the ODAC and 21-1 overall.

Courtney Kozar, Guilford | Had a career-high 22 kills to go with 15 digs in a five-game loss to NC Wesleyan. |
Amanda Walsh, Lynchburg | Had 14 aces in three matches including 10 in a 3-0 win over Shenandoah; also had 29 kills, 14 blocks and 12 digs for the week. |

Jenna Burnop, Roanoke | Was named to the Maroon Invite All-Tournament Team with 43 kills, 12 blocks and a .551 hitting percentage in a 3-1 showing; moved into 3rd place in RC history in blocks (93) and 4th in kills (749). |
Dori Rucker, Sweet Briar | Finished with 23 kills in a 1-3 week including 10 winners in a 3-0 victory over Shenandoah. |
Debbie Sterne, Virginia Wesleyan | Had 30 kills and a .483 hitting percentage to go with 18 blocks in three match wins for the Marlins; had 8 blocks against EMU as well as 15 kills, a school-record .700 hitting percentage and 6 blocks against SBC. |
Rachel Phillips, Washington & Lee | Was named Co-MVP at Averett after leading W&L to 4 wins (16 games); went 5-0 on the week, collecting 64 kills, 28 digs and 10 blocks while hitting .276; had 20 kills in a 5 game win over AU and 16 kills in a 3-0 win over Randolph-Macon. |
