JUSTINE MERRITT, Guilford
College
Merritt, a sophomore from McAllen, Texas, led
Guilford to its school-record fifth win of the season by winning
three individual events and swimming on a winning relay squad. Won
the 200 freestyle, the 200 backstroke and the 200 individual medley
races to contribute 27 points to the Quakers' 181-77 win over
Bridgewater. Anchored Guilford's 400 freestyle relay team that
edged its Bridgewater counterparts by less than a second, which
added another 11 points to the Quakers' total. Her times in the 200
back and 200 IM were her fastest of the season.
