BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Phil Drew, Guilford College
Drew, a senior from Mashpee, Massachusetts, helped the Quakers to a 4-0 week with a .467 batting average and a team-high of seven hits, including 3 doubles.  He went three-for-five and knocked in three runs in Guilford's 9-4 win over Averett.  He provided all the runs for the Quakers in their 3-0 win over Wabash with his three-run homer in the fifth inning and went three-for-four with two doubles and two RBIs to lead the Quaker's to their second win over Wabash.

BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Robbie Bailey, Hampden-Sydney College
Bailey, a sophomore from Richmond, Virginia, earned a complete game victory as he lead the Tigers to a 7-0 victory over Waynesburg.  Bailey struck out four batters, walked one and allowed only two hits en route to pitching seven scoreless innings.

Baseball Honor Roll
Jameson Jarvis, Eastern Mennonite Batted .667 while recording two doubles, a homerun and three RBIs this week.
Ryan Hairston, Guilford Threw a complete game with three strikeouts and only five hits to lead the Quakers to a 3-0 victory over Wabash. 
Ben Brawley, Hampden-Sydney Batted .600 and added three RBIs, three doubles and three runs to lead the Tiger's to a 3-0 week.
Jon Crews, Lynchburg Batted .600 in 2-1 week.  Recorded two doubles, a triple and two runs scored while knocking in three RBIs.
D.W. Moore, Lynchburg Threw 5.1 innings while allowing only one earned run and striking out six Alvernia batters.
Noah Davidson, Roanoke Batted .375 recording six hits and ten runs, including four doubles, two triples and four RBIs.
Barrett Henderson, Roanoke Pitched five innings while allowing only one hit and striking out seven batters in his first career win vs. CCNY.
Brian Schweers , Va. Wesleyan Went 4-for-6 at the plate and scored three runs in the Marlin's 10-3 victory over Averett.
Jesse Freeman, Va. Wesleyan Worked six innings, scattering only three hits and allowing only one earned run while striking out six Averett batters.
Anthony Cardona, Washington & Lee Batted .500 for the week, which included a 2-for-4 showing at the plate against St. Mary's (Md.) where he also notched two RBIs.

MEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Peter Latimer, Guilford College
Latimer, a sophomore from Markinch, Scotland, led Guilford at the Johnny Palmer/Old North State Intercollegiate with a 36-hole 156 (78-78), which ranked 13th among 65 competitors.  He had the fourth-lowest score among 11 Division III contestants.  Guilford maintained its seventh-place ranking in the Golf World/Nike Golf Division III Coaches' Poll in the Feb. 22 rankings. 

MEN'S LACROSSE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Andrew O'Shea,  Hampden-Sydney College
O'Shea, a sophomore from Richmond, Virginia, helped lead the No. 17 Tiger's to their first victory of the season.  O'Shea score two goals, recorded two assists and scooped up two ground balls in the 5-2 victory over Mary Washington on the road.

Men's Lacrosse Honor Roll
Andrew Vigne, Guilford Recorded sixteen saves in three quarters for the Quakers while scooping up a team-high four ground balls against York (Pa.).
Garrett Curran, Lynchburg Posted eleven saves against the No. 1 ranked Salisbury University, including two saves in the fourth quarter.

WOMEN'S LACROSSE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Colleen Evans,  Washington and Lee University
Evans, a junior from Lexington, Virginia, tallied five goals and one assist in two games.  In the Generals 18-3 win over Sewanee, Evans notched three goals and one assist while forcing three turnovers.  In W&L's  8-7 win over St. Mary's (Md.) she netted two goals and picked up two ground balls.  Evans is currently leading the her team in goals, with five. 

Women's Lacrosse Honor Roll
Carrie Ernst, Guilford Recorded a career-tying three goals and one assist to lead the Quakers to victory over CNU. 
Meredith Newman, Sweet Briar Netted five goals and two assist in SBC's 19-1 season-opening win over Waynesburg.

SOFTBALL ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Elizabeth Perkins,  Lynchburg College
Perkins, a senior from Kents Store, Virgnia, helped lead the Hornets to a 6-0 start to the season by posting a .750 batting average in six games, including three home runs and a double in sixteen at-bats to post a 1.375 slugging percentage.  She was also walked five times to boast a .818 on-base percentage and ran in eight runs.

SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Katie Bruce,  Lynchburg College
Bruce, a freshman from Lanexa, Virginia, recorded sixteen strikeouts and eleven hits in nineteen innings of play in her first three collegiate starts.  Her opponents hit just .155 and tallied only one extra-base hit. 

Softball Honor Roll
Kelly Hale, Guilford Batted .467 while recording two homers, 3 runs scored and 8 RBIs to lead the Quakers to a 3-2-1 start to their season.  
Samantha Golley, Guilford Tossed a complete-game, six inning one hitter with six strikeouts in her college debut win over Peace.

MEN'S TENNIS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Rich Pugh,  Hampden-Sydney College
Pugh, a freshman No. 2 singles player from Augusta, Georgia, played in the No. 1 singles position this week and shut-out his opponent 6-0, 6-0 to lead the Tigers to a 9-0 victory against Randolph College.  In doubles play, Pugh and his partner outlasted Randolph's top-duo, 8-2. 

Men's Tennis Honor Roll
John Best, Randolph-Macon Won his No. 2 singles match 6-2, 6-1 and his No. 2 doubles match 8-2 in the Yellow Jacket's win over Ferrum.

WOMEN'S TENNIS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Windsor Tyler,  Randolph-Macon College
Tyler, a sophomore from Richmond, Virginia, won her No. 1 singles match 7-5, 6-0 and her No. 1 doubles match 8-2 in the Yellow Jackets' 9-0 season-opening victory over Ferrum.

MEN'S INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Scott Decker,  Lynchburg College
Decker, a senior from Clifton, Virginia, cleared 15'7" in the Pole Vault at Virginia Tech.  Decker is currently ranked fifth in conference in the pole vault. 

WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Robin Yerkes, Roanoke College
Yerkes, a sophomore from Arnold, Maryland, posted a new ODAC top-time in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.26 seconds, her first posting in the event this season.  She placed seventh overall in the event, but crossed the line first amongst D-III competitors.  She was also the first D-III finisher in the 200-meter dash, crossing the line fifth overall in 25.76 seconds.  She holds the ODAC seasonal top-time in that event as well, posting an earlier time of 25.37 seconds. 

Women's Track Honor Roll
Ashley Meyer, Lynchburg Ran a 5:17.36 mile at Virginia Tech which now ranks her second all-time in school history for outdoor competition.
