MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
NATHAN RITTENHOUSE, BRIDGEWATER COLLEGE

Rittenhouse, a senior from Green Bank, West Virginia, won the Roanoke College Invitational with a time of 25:52.52. Rittenhouse paced a 1-2-3 Eagles sweep of the top spots and helped lead the Eagles to the team title. Rittenhouse's time was a personal best over an 8K course. 

Men's Cross Country Honor Roll
Palmer Hicks, GC Paced Guilford at the Maroon Invitational with a 23rd place time of 29:36.00.
Ricky Flynn, LC Placed fourth individually and as the top D-III runner at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational with a time of 26.19.65 on the 8.1-kilometer course.
Michael Welsh, W&L Placed 15th individually at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational with an 8.1k time of 26:59.46.

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
LIZ MUMAW, ROANOKE COLLEGE
Mumaw, a junior from Berryville, Virginia, won the Maroon Invitational with a five-kilometer time of 20:45.00.  Although this is her first win of the year, Mumaw has led Roanoke in each of its three meets this season.  

Women's Cross Country Honor Roll
Grace Normann, GC Led the Quakers at the Maroon Invitational  with a 5k time of 22:46; she has recorded Guilford's best time in each of the team's three races.
Jennie Pernisi, LC Paced the Hornets at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational by placing 26th with a 6k time of 24:30.

FIELD HOCKEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK
BECKY NOLT, EASTERN MENNONITE UNIVERSITY
Nolt, a sophomore from East Berlin, Pennsylvania, made a season-high 10 saves in shutting out #20 Lynchburg College, 2-0, this weekend.  The shutout was her conference-leading third of the season.  She also moved into second in the conference in goals against average at 1.32. 

Field Hockey Honor Roll
Allie Weir, LC Scored once and assisted on another in the Hornets 5-1 over St. Mary's.
Mary McCarthy, R-MC Scored once and provided good service off penalty corners for the Yellow Jackets in their ODAC win at Roanoke.
Chelsea Baker, VWC Made 26 saves over a 1-1 week for VWC with a career- and ODAC season-high 22 saves in a loss to McDaniel.
Christina Merchant, WLU Scored the game-winner in overtime in the Generals' first win of the season, a 3-2 effort over Catholic.

GOLFER OF THE WEEK
RALSTON KING, RANDOLPH-MACON COLLEGE
King, a senior from Richmond, Virginia, shot a two-under-69 on Sunday to go along with a 70 on Saturday to take Individual Medalist honors at the Tom Kinder Invitational in Harrisonburg, Virginia. King helped R-MC to a second-place finish behind host and tournament champion Bridgewater College. King (70-69-139) finished five under par, five strokes ahead of Mike Redwood of BC and six strokes in front of the Eagles' John Phillips.

Golf Honor Roll
Brian Creghan, GC Shot a career-low 216 even par over 54 holes to place 6th overall and help the Quakers to a second place team showing at the Sea Trail Intercollegiate; his finish was tops for D-III competitors.

MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
BRYAN WHARTON, HAMPDEN-SYDNEY COLLEGE
Wharton, a freshman from Glen Allen, Virginia, helped Tigers to a pair of victories last week with three goals.  He opened the week with a two-goal showing against Stevenson, scoring the first and last goals to second a 3-1 H-SC win.  He then opened the scoring again on Saturday to lead the Tigers to a conference victory over Emory & Henry.  For the season, Wharton is second on the team with 11 points on five goals and an assist. 

Men's Soccer Honor Roll
Zane Lineberry, BC Minded the Eagles' net in a pair of 0-0 ties against Washington and Lee and Randolph-Macon.
Mitchell Leap, EMU Scored the lone goal of the game in the Royals' 1-0 win over Washington and Lee.
Peter Truitt, GC Made 14 saves over two games in goal for the Quakers, including a 10-stop effort against Randolph.
Matty Rocawich, R-MC Made 11 total saves between two Jacket games... a win over Eastern Mennonite and a tie with Bridgewater.
Shaman Douglass, RC Scored twice, including the would-be game-winner, in the Maroons 3-1 win over Virginia Wesleyan.
Ben Bartlett, W&L Made eight saves apiece in a tie with Bridgewater and a loss to Eastern Mennonite.

WOMEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
KATIE SANTOS, LYNCHBURG COLLEGE
Santos, a sophomore from Cheltenham, Maryland, scored at least one goal in each of the #4 Hornets three win this past week.  She scored once Tuesday in a 10-0 win at Randolph College. She netted another goal Saturday in a 5-1 win at Methodist and followed up with two goals and one assist in another 5-1 win at Meredith. Santos scored the four goals on only six shots.

Kathy Bundrick, BC Scored the lone goal in the Eagles 1-0 win over Emory & Henry last week.
Valerie Brubaker, EMU Propelled the Royals past Guilford with the game's only goal.
Bree Vohs, GC Scored the Quakers only goal in a loss to Methodist last week.
Ashley Malinowski, R-MC Tallied a goal and an assist in the Yellow Jackets 4-0 win at Hollins.
Meredith Grunewald, RC Scored three goals in a 7-0 win over Hollins and notched another in a loss to Christopher Newport.
Courtney Whorten, VWC Scored the Marlins' goal in the 1-0 win over Randolph-Macon, and delivered a perfect cross on VWC's first goal in a 2-1 win over Washington and Lee.
Anne Masich, W&L Notched her first career hat-trick in a 9-0 win over Ferrum last week.

VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ERIKA DIRNAGL, BRIDGEWATER COLLEGE
Dirnagl, a junior from Stephens City, Virginia, averaged just over three kills per game as the Eagles finished with a 4-1 record on the week. The Eagles won their only ODAC match, defeating EMU in straight games as Dirnagl led the team with 13 kills. BC then went 3-1 at the BC Invitational. Dirnagl finished with 39 kills in the four matches and was named to the all-tournament team.  She also collected 17 digs, 11 total blocks and eight service aces. 

Volleyball Honor Roll
Twyla Sessor, E&H Averaged six digs per game on the way to a 24-dig effort in a 3-1 win over Guilford.
Shanika Tunnell, GC Led Guilford with 11 total blocks and eight kills through a pair of matches last week.
Kristina Giordano, LC Posted 86 assists in 10 games over three matches (8.6 apg), all Hornet victories.
April Hines, R-MC Had 10 kills in 19 attacks to help the Jackets to a 3-0 win over Randolph.
Marah Schmitz, W&L Performed well at the Emory National Invitational with 49 digs and 10 services aces; finished the week with 58 digs and 36 kills to go with six blocks over five matches.
