ODAC Athletes of the Week | Indoor Track & Field

FOREST, Va. --- School-records and high national rankings dominate this week's ODAC indoor track & field report as league athletes continue to put forth their best efforts. Those earning weekly awards in men's and women's indoor track & field include (headshots, left-to-right, top-to-bottom): Jason White (field) from Shenandoah and Lauren Anderson (field), LaMaya Lacy (track), and Alex Shadkhoo (track) from Lynchburg.

MEN'S INDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jason White | Shenandoah | Jr. | Jumps
White, a junior from Roanoke, Va., put his name in Shenandoah's record book after a strong showing at the Bomber Invitational hosted by Ithaca College. White set a new Hornets standard in the triple jump after winning the event at 14.90 meters (48-10.75). The mark is tops in the ODAC this season and less than a foot (0.28 meters) off the conference record. White's leap is also tied for second in NCAA Division III.

MEN'S INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Alex Shadkhoo | Lynchburg | So. | Sprints
Shadkhoo, a sophomore from Herndon, Va., picks up his second weekly award of the season following a pair of strong sprints at the Roanoke Invitational Challenge hosted by Roanoke College at the Cregger Center. Shadkhoo won the 60-meter dash in 0:07.08. He previously ran 0:07.07 in one of the preliminary races. His best time in the event this season is 0:07.00, which is third in the ODAC. Shadkhoo also won the 200-meter dash at Roanoke, posting a new ODAC season-best time of 0:22.22. That is second-best in Lynchburg history and is currently tied for third in NCAA Division III.

WOMEN'S INDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Lauren Anderson | Lynchburg | So. | Pole Vault/Sprints
Anderson, a sophomore from Centreville, Va., competed twice and performed well at the Roanoke Invitational Challenge hosted by Roanoke College at the Cregger Center. Anderson finished third overall in the pole vault by clearing 3.35 meters (10-11.75) for the second time this season and keeping her in a four-way tie atop the ODAC in the event. That mark is currently tied for 44th in the country. Anderson also took a turn on the track, posting a new personal-best time in the 60-meter dash at 0:08.60 to finish 26th overall.

WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
LaMaya Lacy | Lynchburg | Jr. | Hurdles/Jumps
Lacy, a junior from Bremo Bluff, Va., put her name atop two ODAC season-best charts following a strong showing at the Roanoke Invitational Challenge hosted by Roanoke College at the Cregger Center. Lacy finished third overall in the 60-meter hurdles in a new school-record time of 0:09.10. That mark not only tops the ODAC but ranks 24th in NCAA Division III. Lacy also competed in the triple jump, placing fourth with a new ODAC-best mark of 10.92 meters (35-10.00). That mark is a personal-best and ranks fourth in Lynchburg history.
