Yerkes, a senior from Arnold, Maryland, finished eighth overall at the Virginia Tech Challenge in the 400m dash. Her time of 57.36 provisionally qualified her for the second weekend in a row for the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. She is currently ranked number one in the ODAC by over 3 seconds and number six overall in the country for Division III.
Women's Indoor Track Honor Roll
Courtney Hartman, Bridgewater College, Senior
Hartman turned in a pair of Top 10 finishes and ran a leg
on the winning 4x400 relay team at the Susquehanna Open. She
placed seventh in the long jump (15 feet, 9 inches) and third in
the 55 meters (7.55). The 4x400 relay shattered the school record
with a time of 4:11.75. In the long jump and 55 meters, Hartman was
second among Division III competitors.
Samfee Doe, Eastern Mennonite University, Junior
Doe ran the 400 Meters in a personal-best time
of 1:01.75 to win the race. She also took second in the 200
Meters, crossing in 28.27.
Gabby Smith, Guilford College, Freshman
Smith placed 13th among 15 contestants in the
weight throw at the Mountaineer Open with a personal-best toss of
9.26 meters. She placed 21st in the shot put with
a throw of 7.55 meters.
Krystle Landes, Lynchburg College, Junior
Landes ran the 200 meters in 27.99 on Friday, and
finished the 400 meters in 62.35 on Saturday at Virginia Tech.
