Kidd, a senior from Virginia Beach, Va., turned in one of the best efforts of his career in the Terrapin Invitational hosted by the University of Maryland in the 5,000 meter run. He placed ninth in the field of 27 with a VWC record time of 15:17.84. His time broke the former record of 15:28.60 set by junior teammate Sean Whitson earlier this season. Whitson competed in the same event and broke his own record with a time of 15:28.01. Kidd was the only Division III runner in the top 10 in the race. His time is the 18th fastest in the event to date in the NCAA rankings and the top time in the ODAC this season.

Van Alstine ran 4:27.6 in the mile Saturday at
Maryland to place 11th out of 40 runners in the event. His
time set a new ODAC season-best for the mile run.
