Johnathan Smith, Guilford, Sophomore, Sprints

Smith, a sophomore from Conyers, Ga., placed fourth in the 60-meter dash at the Liberty Open with a time of 6.92 seconds, tops among NCAA Division III contestants.  He set a Guilford school record with his effort, which also stands as the fourth-fastest time in NCAA Division III this season.  It marks the second time Smith has posted a sub-seven second time as the ODAC seasonal best mark this year.

Men's Indoor Track Honor Roll

Leigh Bradley, Bridgewater, Senior, Jumps
Bradley set a new personal best with a jump of 47 feet, 3 inches in the triple jump Saturday at the Liberty Open. Bradley finished third overall and second amongst NCAA Division III athletes.  His mark is also the ninth-best in D-III so far this season. The distance places Bradley in third on the all-time indoor performance list in the event at Bridgewater.

Eric Van Dunk, Lynchburg, Junior, Throws
Van Dunk placed fourth overall and first amongst NCAA Division III competition in the shot put at the Liberty University Kickoff with a heave of 15.07 meters (49' 5.50").  The throw is currently second in the ODAC this season and 38th on the national performance list.  It also put him third on the all-time list at Lynchburg.

Josiah Renton, Shenandoah, Senior
Renton placed in the top five in a pair of individual events and helped the Hornets to another top-five showing in a relay at the Thompson Invitational hosted by the University of Delaware.  He won the 5000-meter run with a time of 15:46.62, moving into second on the ODAC's seasonal list.  Renton also placed third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:01.65, also second-best in the conference this year.  With Renton's help, Shenandoah placed fifth in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:36.27, which set a new school record (3:40.75).

Dillon Myers, Washington and Lee, Sophomore, Heptathlon
As the only Div. III competitor, Myers placed eighth out of 22 athletes in the heptathlon with a school-record total of 4,394 points. He eclipsed the old record of 4,020 points while competing the heptathlon for just the second time ever. He ran the 60-meter dash in 7.35, the 60-meter hurdles in 9.06 and the 1000-meter run in 2:46.44. In the pole, he vault cleared 3.45 meters (11' 3.75"), jumped 5.98 meters (19' 7.5") in the long jump, and 1.76 meters (5' 9.25") in the high jump, while posting a distance of 9.21 meters (30' 2.75") in the shot put.
