Alfaro, a senior from Toms River, N.J., competed for the first time in 2016 and promptly took over the top spot in the ODAC in the weight throw.  Her heave of 16.16 meters at the Darius Dixon Memorial not only topped the Division II, III and unattached ranks at the Liberty University-hosted meet, but came up just 0.02 meters short of tying her own ODAC record set last season.  That throw is also 1.58 meters better than the next best toss in the conference this year.

Women's Indoor Track - Field Athletes Honor Roll

Katelyn Senger, Bridgewater (Jr. - Throws)
Senger posted personal season-best marks in both the weight throw and shot put as the Darius Dixon Memorial.  Her mark of 14.09m in the weight throw ranks fourth in the ODAC, while her toss of 10.59m in the shot put ranks third in the conference.

Becca Benfield, Guilford (Jr. - Throws)
Benfield posted the second-best shot put mark in Guilford history at the Camel City Invitational, heaving the apparatus 10.10m to finish 34th overall and second among D-II/III competition.

Mary Kelly, Roanoke (Sr. - Throws)
Kelly posted an ODAC qualifying toss of 10.59m to finish 10th in the weight throw at the Darius Dixon Memorial.  That ranks ninth in the ODAC this year.
