Coombs, a senior from Newtown, N.J., continues to churn up the track in the mid-distance events. Coombs competed in the both the 800-meter and mile runs at the Vince Brown Invitational hosted by Christopher Newport, setting new ODAC best times in each. She ran to a 2:21.59 to finish second overall and tops among NCAA Division III competitors in the 800-meter run.
