Jaylyn Lane, Virginia Wesleyan, Fr., Jumps/Sprints

Lane, a freshman from Portsmouth, Va., picks up her second weekly award of the year after a strong showing in three events at the Captains Invitational and Combined Events hosted by Christopher Newport University. Lane strengthened her grip on the top spot in the ODAC in the triple jump by winning the event at 11.04 meters (36-2.75). That mark ranks 32nd in NCAA Division III. She added a fourth place finish in the long jump at 4.95 meters (16-3.00). That would rank third on the ODAC's posted chart, even though it falls behind her personal season-best (5.24m). Lane helped out her teammates to a relay win on the track as VWU won the 4x200-meter relay in 1:48.79.
